They didn’t say anything about the coach cheating.

Oh honey. The infraction was "proselytizing". That means THE COACH RECRUITED players. That's against the rules. Its cheating. The coach cheated. How can you not follow this logic?

No it doesn’t.

“No it doesn’t” what? Mean he recruited? If not him directly, then someone, because what else do you think that rule means? And as head coach, the buck stops with him as far as his players are concerned. No way did that number of kids and their families up and move (assuming there is in fact no merit to the ineligibility claims) to follow him on a whim, and he never asked questions or knew anything about it but just pushed out some 15 former Hayfield players to make room.

Doesn’t mean the coach did anything. And they didn’t even say what brought them to that conclusion.

You are ridiculous. They've been caught red handed and you Overton fans will deflect and dodge and ignore the truth.

A lot to go back and read, so can someone help me out, please. Without actual evidence VHSL says he violated a clause not by proof but insinuation.
14 kids left Freedom and are on Hayfield roster, well if there allegedly 50 on Freedom what happened to rest of kids?
The local press has him in all newspapers as being hired to Hayfield but yet he has to take blame for trying to better himself?
15 kids no longer playin this roster ?Didn’t say if they were returning kids or first year kids or what’s their reasoning for not playin, but in that 15 how many kids transferred to other schools, and did they transfer to non powerhouse schools like Justice or Edison or did the transfer to better programs such as West Springfield and South County?

I can undeStand some things but it seems there is no real proof because if it was had then I’m sure it would have been stated. It always just states they feel he violated the spirit of how they view it. Thanks for reading, if you did.

Yeah VHSL is saying a rules were violated and quote the policy, but not specifically who or how.

It’s almost like they are just saying a bunch of kids moved into the Hayfield school zone so you must’ve cheated and then have nerve to ban them from the playoffs.

If VHSL identified specific kids you'd be crying even harder.

They didn’t need to identify anyone. Just say what happened since you are publicly making accusations.

They did say and it was clearly said to the school. Did you expect a personal call?

Post in other thread proposes that all costs related to Hayfield fiasco be deducted from the 12% salary increase. I know of no other industry where people getting 12% increases.

How are you calculating a 12% increase? The article says that her increases have been the same as all other FCPS employees.

One Freedom to Hayfield parent seems to be saying on Facebook that there are texts from an assistant to students and/or parents suggesting or encouraging them to transfer from Freedom to Hayfield.

The parents rebuttal to this is that her kid has “been with Overton since he was 8” and thus needed no encouragement. That’s not exactly the rebuttal she thinks it is but gives some insight into parents’ state of mind.

I’m sure they also to into account the fact that Hayfield is also better academically.

It doesn't seem like these families make school decisions based in academics.

Almost all of the Overton entourage seem to not fundamentally understand the proselytizing concept.

So the Coach is still employed by FCPS even though he cheated so wildly that he got his team banned for two years?

Why do you keep saying the coach cheated? The VHSL never said he did any such thing.
