People are voting for the party, not necessarily the candidate. This is especially true of the GOP.

I hear lots of Democrats say, "Vote Blue, no matter who."

Every Democratic nominee is better than the Republican alternative. The only good Republicans either retired or lost the primary to a delusional fool. A random person off the street would be better than any Republican nominee.

Many of us happen to think just the opposite.
Democrats have gone bat$hit crazy. Their fiscal policies and social policies are just plain nutty and not good for voters, families, children, or anyone except liberal elites.
I will vote for *any* Republican over a Democrat at this point. Democrats are THAT dangerous.

Republicans are mostly seditious traitors, so there’s that.

So I take it you would never Vote Red Instead?

Why would I vote for someone who’s still claiming the 2020 election was stolen?

And you hear that bc democrats are trying to promote party loyalty since we are literally fighting traitors who want to end democracy.

Republicans know they don’t need to say it - so many of the braindead MAGA were already doing it.

Not always. Candidate quality, or in this case lack thereof, matters.

And you believe them?

In 2020, tens of thousands of Georgians voted for the Republican Senate and House candidates but didn’t check a box for President, so yeah I do.

+1 Georgia of all places has a history of this type of voting.

What's terrifying is that the race between Walker and Warnock is still so close.

It must be difficult for conservatives who want to implement small government, tax cuts, and avoid talk of LGBTQ and abortion, yet hate this Republican election lie and don't want to support liars and Trump hangers-on.

I am sure a lot of them will hold their nose and vote Republican, because like Democrats, they are prepared to vote for long-term policies rather than focus on the ills of their candidates.

If I were in their place, I just would not vote. And I know some people plan to do that as well.

I'm just thinking of this, because I'm sure we on the left will eventually be faced with a nonsense candidate at some point.

There are plenty of nutty candidates on the left.

Take Mandela Barnes, for one.... abolish ICE, defund police....
There are others like him.

Here are some in their own words:

DEMOCRATS REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE RESULTS OF THE 2016 ELECTION

In 2017, seven House Democrats tried to object to the 2016 election electoral votes.
After President Trump’s victory in 2016, 67 Democrats boycotted his inauguration, with many “claiming his election was illegitimate.”
After the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton repeatedly questioned the legitimacy of the election and claimed the election was stolen from her.
In September 2017, Hillary Clinton said she would not “rule out” questioning the legitimacy of the 2016 election.
In March 2019, Clinton smiled in agreement when former State Sen. Hank Sanders (D-AL) said the election was stolen from her.
In May 2019, Clinton said the 2016 election was “stolen” from her.
In September 2019, Clinton dismissed Trump as an “illegitimate president” and said “he knows” he stole the 2016 presidential election.
In October 2019, Clinton said that Trump knows that he is “an illegitimate president.”
In December 2019, Clinton nodded in agreement that she won the election.
In July 2020, Clinton said Trump is scared for Americans to see “how illegitimate his victory” was.
In October 2020, Clinton claimed that the 2016 presidential election was not conducted legitimately, saying, “we still don’t really know what happened.”
Former President Jimmy Carter said he believed that “a full investigation” would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) said “I believe” Russian interference altered the outcome of the election.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) dodged answering whether Trump was “a legitimate president.”
Rep Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) said the “legitimacy is in question” of Trump’s presidency.
Then-Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) said he did not believe President Trump is a “legitimate president.”
Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) “applauded” John Lewis and said that he was “right on target.”
Then-Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA) said that John Lewis’ remarks on Trump not being legitimately elected “are reasonable.”
Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) said “there absolutely is a cloud of illegitimacy” to Trump’s presidency.
Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) said that Trump’s election was “illegitimate” and that Trump “is an illegitimate president.”
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) justified his decision to object to certification saying Republicans engaged in “deliberate voter suppression … in numerous swing states.”
Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) refused to attend President Trump’s inauguration ceremony because Trump’s election victory was “tainted” by “foreign interference and voter suppression.”
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) refused to say if Trump was a “legitimate president.”

Did Mandela Barnes spend July 4th in Moscow?
Did Mandela Barnes feed information to the Vice President in hopes of overtuning an election?
Did Mandela Barnes pass legislation that benefited him and his family to the tune of 8 figures?

Johnson is a self-serving traitor. Sure go vote for him. Our republic dies.

And yet, there was a smooth transition of power and no insurrection. What was your point?
