Observations from March:

PVI has been the most consistent at 8-0 But they haven't been tested since the STAB and IMG contests from mid-March. How much have they improved since late February?

Landon, GP, SJC, and even Bullis have all played pretty inconsistently. All of them have played challenging schedules but haven't found their groove just yet. The Lil Hoyas will be tested again next week with California Power Saint Ignatius in town. Prep had a good showing on their Spring break trip in Florida against quality teams.

Good Counsel and STA are looking to play spoiler in their respective conferences. Don't take them lightly, as they are very capable of upending one of the teams mentioned above.

Gonzaga. Despite their (2 - 6 record), no team in the area has played a tougher schedule than the Eagles. At times last night against Landon, they gave the Bears all they could handle. No dog in the fight, but the end score was much closer than the final score showed.

I'm not sold on Episcopal, despite the Mad Lax guy doing everything possible to hype the program. They've played two quality opponents and got the shit kicked out of them in both games.

Having watch GZ play Bullis, GP and Landon, Landon is the best team. GP might have the best players but Landon is the best team. Bullis and GP are after them depending on whether GP wants to play as a team or individualize their play.

As for GZ - they start 3-4 seniors in their 2 deep. Hard to win close games being so young, especially on the offensive end.

Tougher in every rating I’ve seen, their three losses are to nationally ranked #’s 2, 5 and 15, they beat BL (who GZ lost to). Both play far tougher schedules than others from the area, but it’s interesting how one isn’t mentioned.

Sounds right. However I think Gonzaga’s strength of schedule was raised as a counter to the argument that their record is what it is, whereas SJC’s record is obviously better.

EHS has been doing less with more talent for over a decade now. Based on talent alone, they should be a solid tier 3 team, but there is a decent chance they finish last in the IAC.
