They didn’t say anything about the coach cheating.

Oh honey. The infraction was "proselytizing". That means THE COACH RECRUITED players. That's against the rules. Its cheating. The coach cheated. How can you not follow this logic?

No it doesn’t.

“No it doesn’t” what? Mean he recruited? If not him directly, then someone, because what else do you think that rule means? And as head coach, the buck stops with him as far as his players are concerned. No way did that number of kids and their families up and move (assuming there is in fact no merit to the ineligibility claims) to follow him on a whim, and he never asked questions or knew anything about it but just pushed out some 15 former Hayfield players to make room.

Doesn’t mean the coach did anything. And they didn’t even say what brought them to that conclusion.

You are ridiculous. They've been caught red handed and you Overton fans will deflect and dodge and ignore the truth.

It’s an unfortunate situation all around. FCPS worked really hard with the VHSL over player eligibility, so everyone thought things were hunky-dory, until just a few weeks ago. It really caught everyone off guard.

This is one of the most dishonest posts I've seen about this mess.

So funny. Do you do stand up anywhere local?

That’s a swell idea. FCPS and Hayfield would be subject to all kinds of discovery. Can’t imagine FCPS ever wanting that in this case.

Word on the street is that Hayfield parent(s) are getting a lawyer involved.

They want to postpone the playoffs until the “case” is resolved (whatever that means). I saw a couple of posts on Facebook.

The only “boys” they care about is the group they transported from Woodbridge. Actually, adult egos followed by Freedom “boys”.

Might as well try to burn the whole system down! They are not making any friends.

LMAO! They had multiple appeals within VHSL. They would have to get a judge to issue an injunction. Not happening. What a loser of a case

They not postponing the playoffs, but they can sue the VHSL damages. The Hayfield parents should’ve hired the attorney as soon as the rumors and allegations started. They could’ve nipped this thing in the bud.

How dumb. You think have an attorney means that the investigation would stop. You're more impressed by having a lawyer than you should be. Go ahead. Blow your money. I hope you end up paying everyone else's lawyer fees.

Yes, the Overton fans are going to be surprised at what that means for them.

FCPS needs to apologize to stakeholders and members of the community. Its job is to provide an education. Not to win football titles.

It shouldn’t have. That it did is sheer incompetence.

Whose money? I have a major problem if this is even MORE $ from FCPS.

These people have no clue how bad it's going to make them look if they try to sue VHSL. They live in an echo chamber and keep lying to themselves and one another. The truth will come out about the kids and who used which address etc.

Agreed but doesn’t mean they don’t waste time and $, just would like to make sure it is not FCPS $
