actually it did for the Mizrahi Jews.

Bwaaaaaa!

You mean the 1929 Hebron massacre? Or the Safed massacre?

You mean the Iraqi Jews who were killed in the Farhud?

Or how fatherless Jewish children in Yemen were forced to convert to Islam, even if their mothers were alive?

Or the 1933 anti-Jewish riots in Aden where Jews were stoned to death?

You know NOTHING. Just because you can type the word Mizrahi doesn't mean you know jack.

All post Zionism.

I have done the research. Do you know Brits, Arabs, and Zionists were in cahoots to kick out Mizrahis to Israel in order for Arabs to have Arab states and Israelis to have Israel?

Every Jewish pogrom in the Middle East was post Ottoman Empire control. The Ottoman Empire which reigned for 500 years was very kind to Jews and Arabs but that didn’t stop both from “rebelling” in favor of the British in Mandatory Palestine in order to get nationhood /independence

Doubling down on ignorance, huh?

451 -- Persian ruler Yazdegerd II forbids shabbat and orders the execution of Jewish leaders

624 -- 600 Jews decapitated in Medina (Saudi Arabia) in a single day

807 -- Jews in Caliphate ordered to wear yellow badges (no, the Nazis did not invent this)

1165-- forced mass conversions in Yemen

1333 -- forced mass conversions in Baghdad

1517 -- Pogrom in Hebron (West Bank)

1619-- Jews in Persia (Iran) forced to convert

It goes on and on.

None of this is Ottoman Empire Middle East. Fact is Jews and Arabs stabbed the Turks who treated both well in the back for the British. They believed in an anti semite colonizer regime To liberate them from Turks and support Arab and Jewish nationalism . They both got played

Oh my God, you are insufferable!

Here's a partial list of atrocities Jews endured under the Ottoman Empire, happy?

Throughout the 1860s, the Jews of Libya were subjected to punitive taxation.

In 1864, around 500 Jews were killed in Marrakech and Fezin Morocco.

In 1869, 18 Jews were killed in Tunis, and an Arab mob looted Jewish homes and stores, and burned synagogues, on Jerba Island.

In 1875, 20 Jews were killed by a mob in Demnat, Morocco; elsewhere in Morocco, Jews were attacked and killed in the streets in broad daylight.

In 1891, the leading Muslims in Jerusalem asked the Ottoman authorities in Constantinople to prohibit the entry of Jews arriving from Russia.

In 1897, synagogues were ransacked and Jews were murdered in Tripolitania.

An important instance of anti-Semitism around this time was the Damascus affair, in which many Jews in Damascus (which was then under the leadership of Muhammad Ali of Egypt) were arrested after being accused of murdering the Christian Father Thomas and his servant in an instance of blood libel. While the authorities under Sharif Pasha, Egyptian governor of Damascus, tortured the accused until they confessed to the crime, and killed two Jews who refused to confess, prominent European Jews such as Adolphe Crémieux demanded the release of the condemned

One potent symbol of Jewish degradation was the phenomenon of stone-throwing at Jews by Muslim children.

This is what you call "kind."

Don't the Haredim in Israel do that to other Jews???

Many of the missing and murdered were peace activists, shuttling Palestinians to and from medical appointments in Israel, etc.

Good grief. These students need a dose of reality.

Yes. I’m heartbroken over how this is all playing out.

So you think all the Jews in Israel should go where? Come on now, have the courage of your convictions.

Who cares where they go? They displaced many families with their "settlers."

Since you are being so blunt, I will be blunt as well, first by prefacing that I am not Jewish (latina immigrant) and up until recently was very against what Israel has done by actions or omissions to the Palestinians, especially in the WB.

Since October 7 and reading posts like yours, I confess I don’t give a f*ck about Palestinians and their plight in Gaza.

I find it very hard to believe that 2 million people living in such a small territory don’t know who their Hamas militants are and where they hide.

If they want to end this conflict they can storm the castle so to speak and overpower Hamas insurgents (kill them or deliver them to Israel), liberate the hostages and take control.

Then I go back to supporting their cause and, hopefully, send Israelis settlers in the WB back to Israel and let the UN run the place until they can self-support and self-govern.

Meanwhile, while none of that is done, I don’t care, at all, about what happens to them during the war. They are complicit with Hamas.

No one wants them, not even other Muslim states.

So because of some awful posts people make online you are going to ignore the tragedy of what is going on in Gaza.

You can have your reasons for justifying what Israel is doing. People have called the deaths collateral damage.

But to call everyone in Gaza complicit is actually quite cruel. I mean we are talking about infants, children, humanitarian workers, journalists, everyday Joes. They are not all complicit. There are innocents in Gaza and shame on you for disregarding that based on some dumb social media posts.

I said the Mizrahis had an Easier time in comparison to Europe and that is still true. I also called the Turks kind. I didn’t Call the Arabs kind. I said the Turks were kind to the Arabs and to the Jews and they got backstabbed by both in favor of the British who promised to help both people with nationalism and who promised Jerusalem to both the Arabs and the Jews. This is not hearsay. This is fact. Jewish people probably didn’t know Brits were doing backdoor deals with Arabs in the region regarding oil , and Arabs didn’t know that Brits were doing backdoor deals with Jews to promise them Palestine

Meanwhile, at Cooper Union, several Jewish students were trapped in the library as pro-Palestine protestors blocked the doors. Security locked the doors because they were afraid they couldn’t guarantee the safety of the Jewish students.

The police came 40 minutes later and escorted them out of an emergency exit.

I think the thing that’s making me most sick is seeing normal innocent people’s hearts harden against one another, because of conflict stoked by bad actors. I wish normal everyday people, including young people, would just pause and focus on everyone’s shared humanity for just a minute.
