Also - many of the Bernie Bros wouldn't get too spun up about her since the last thing they want is looking racist.

I would want to make sure there weren't any issues from when she was chief of police.

There are issues there, as there would be with just about anyone who had held that position. Could be tricky to manage:

I keep coming back to Duckworth as the candidate few could complain about.

Yeah, Duckworth is the favorite for very few people, but I expect that she would be the compromise choice. I doubt that there are many who dislike her and she may be the choice that everyone can agree on.

I struggle with the fact that Biden could use a VP who helps generate the excitement and enthusiasm he lacks. But short of an Obama, I just don't see that happening with any of the names presently in the mix. Most have negatives that would offset the enthusiasm. So back to the "do no harm" ethic. Duckworth is highly respected, authentic, and seems unlikely to harm the ticket in any way.

I suspect that at the least Bernie Sanders and Jim Clyburn will get something similar to strikes from the jury pool.

I can't see Clyburn giving his assent for THAT White woman, not when
1) She doesn't bring anyone to the table.
2) She's from a state that if it's in trouble, we're doomed.
3) I suspect there's enough out there from Klobuchar's record to actively repel Black voters.

See the link posted in 14:07. She declined to prosecute George Floyd's killer in an earlier excessive force case. She's done.

And her statement ... terrible. You think she'd at least say the name "George Floyd."

Yes, there is a good reason the AA community are unhappy she's in the mix. There is no way she'll be the pick.

Okay Klobs is out, probably Demings too. And likely Harris. Anyone with a police/prosecutor background would now be a problem.

I have to agree. The thought of a Biden klobuchar ticket makes me want to take a nap right through Election Day.

kaine was never off the radar - he was clearly one of the top 3 picks touted for a long time

Mores the pity.

I think Klobuchar and Biden have good chemistry and a similar vision, which I think Biden highly valued, but yeah there’s no way she gets the nod after this. Makes it easier for Biden to move on to someone else. Harris is complicated- another former prosecutor but being a POC I don’t think it hurts her as much.
