Option H is permanent and the old Wootton HS campus will be closed for good?

So, move or go private.

Of course it will increase their property values as they’re trying to escape Gaithersburg high school. Even a small portion of Wootton gets moved there, it’ll still perform way better than Gaithersburg.

Crown will outperform Gaithersburg, however that is not going to help property values. As has been pointed out, Homes zoned for "W" schools get a premium, but once outside those top schools, the price differentials are small. For example, people don't pay extra for Quince Orchard over Gaithersburg. And they are not going to pay extra for Crown. I think you are giving the trolls too much credit as if they have a plan here. Their plan is to tear down the success of others. in fact some of them may not be attached to either Wootton or Crown in any way. They are just trolling

Why strive for excellence when you can try to get mediocrity across the board? If everyone is mediocre, nobody looks bad. This is what some call a level playing field

Oh my.. MCPS isn't doing this for equity. Be real. It's a good school with a lot of issues. Personally, I wouldn't send my kids there as there are huge safety issues.

Give me a break. It has way less safety issues than some other schools. Probably even less than the school your kids currently attend. You are probably the same poster who posted about the R*pe there and then didn’t bother to look up what happened with the investigation.

I saw what the investigation said but something bad happened and you can be in denial but there are also other bad things that happened. No sports rapes at our school that we know of.

Let’s talk about other incidents.

Wow-you are reaching. Not a single one of these Incidents caused violence at Wootton during school. The mass violence event was a threat and was dealt with before anything happened. You are literally posting about things that happened near wootton campus or simply by a wootton student. That’s like saying “AstraZeneca employee stabs wife” and then proceeding to act like the campus itself is the problem.

Try again. You are making yourself look like an idiot.

If there was an issue going on in east county I wouldn’t be participating at all in a discussion for it. This is because I have absolutely no knowledge or investment in the schools or neighborhoods around there so I wouldn’t make it my business. How could I possibly have an opinion on closing a school and relocating it/changing it when I have no personal knowledge of the situation? Answer is I couldn’t. So explain to me how it works-why are some of you so invested in something that doesn’t have anything to do with you?

You getting priority for repairs bumps another school so it impacts those families and that school. That is what we have an issue with. You will not wait your turn for repairs despite getting regular upgrades and maintance and acting like you are the only school with issues.

Wootton never received priority. Instead, it was repeatedly delayed in the CIP and ultimately removed altogether. You don’t actually take issue with whether Wootton gets priority, you’re simply trying to leverage Wootton as an asset to increase your own property values

The “wait your turn” troll keeps repeating the same lie hoping people will believe it. Reality doesn’t matter if someone wants to push a false narrative.

Is Taylor going to announce the decision like a Jerry Springer paternity test?

I picture it more like LeBron taking his talents to Miami. I mean Taylor does like to make videos and would probably be happy to make an hour long segment devoted to it right?

You realize some were Wootton students so it impacts Wootton and could have happened on campus. Get out of your bubble.

What is your solution? Ceilings are falling down and serious flooding at other schools. Guess that’s ok to you?

Do any of the proposals move Wootton kids to Gaithersburg HS? That's what I'd like to see.

Why would you like to see that?

You do know there are developments going on in Gaithersburg right? Where do you propose the students in those areas go if the Gaithersburg schools are at or over capacity?

Parts of Gaithersburg can go to Crown and RM.
