Please pull forward if you don’t wish to place an order. Thank you for stopping at Wendy’s. Have a great day. |
Never too late to fix this. We need to regain a full majority. |
In all seriousness, PP, you are unhinged. Tilting at windmills. I had a child who was quite literally shot at while walking with friends about to be dismissed from high school for day. The shooter had multiple semiautomatic rifles — all purchased legally in Virginia, although subsequently converted to automatic — sniper scopes and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. It was live-streamed to the internet. For reasons still not known, he stopped shooting after firing more than 200 rounds. Miraculously only two people were seriously injured. I doubt you have ever received a call from a distraught child who wanted nothing more than to tell you how much they loved their parents and didn’t want to die. So spare us the banal drama and histrionics. |
It’s exhausting that people don’t understand basic civics. The Supreme Court is hell-bent on gutting any meaningful regulation of firearms since Heller. The remedy is a constitutional amendment, not a full majority, whatever that may mean. |
I’m sorry you and your child experienced that. I’m sorry anyone has to experience that. |
That is correct. |

I hope he finds peace and can have a happy life. He deserves it. This is the first thing I can recall learning about the Uvalde story that didn’t make me irate. I tried to think of another way to phrase it. I started to say it’s the first positive thing, but my god look what he’s been through. It doesn’t make me happy, because I’ve seen how much hurt he has in interviews. Then I considered saying it was the fist that didn’t make me sad, but I was crying and they’re not tears of joy. After, what, 2 months, some news that doesn’t make me irate from this situation. It’s tragic on so many levels. |
| Today's report showed that there had been 47(!) lockdowns at this elementary school since Feb, 2022 due to the town's proximity to the border. JFC |
Forgot to say - including the day before the shooting! |
| Also, report showed locks were often circumvented by staff and doors were often propped open. Administration knew and felt it aided teachers who forgot their keys. |
That's the problem with "crying wolf" so many times. It feels like "just another unneeded lockdown." |
