Cops in TX tackle & block desperate parents, while they let shooter rampage thru the school

Abbott was straight up lying in that press conference. My guess is that Beto had talked with some of the parents and that's why he rushed over to confront them. This explains why the Mayor freaked out so badly.

You can't cover this sh#t up anymore with cell phones, video, and social media.

Also, Uvalde spends 40% of its municipal budget on the police force. What did it get them? NOTHING.

If I lived there that budget would be the first to go, next the mayor

Is this video confirmed to be during the time when the shooter was still active inside? I just can't believe that to be true with the amount of crime scene tape set up and all the police outside.

Post this in the Beto/Abbott thread. The right wing numpties in there need to see their lies (not that they ever read or respond to substance).

Better tell your kids not to listen to the cops...

If armed trained cops are afraid of these weapons than why are they legal for 18 year olds? This is so out of hand.

I think it's becoming clear that the SRO saw the AR-15 and quickly understood he was outgunned. So he tried to speak with the shooter before he entered the school, to dissuade him from entering. Shooter just kept running and entered the school. There's seems to have been some preliminary engagement with other early first responders within the first few minutes, but they quickly retreated and established a perimeter. By then, the gunman was already in a classroom and the police then focused on removing students from other classrooms.

Essentially, that 4th grade class was sacrificed because the police knew they were outgunned and/or didn't have the fortitude and courage to engage the shooter.

Sick, sick, sick.

THIS! All pussies and liars and wannabes. They would’ve let him destroy every life in that elementary — he didn’t because he probably assumed they’d come in at some point!

They didn't just go classroom to classroom to evacuate. They went searching for their kids. Now what if their kids had been in the shooter's classroom?

Have you ever heard of the fog of war?

Doubtful the cops knew exactly what was happening as the situation was unfolding in real time. It's so easy to sit there behind a computer screen with 20/20 hindsight.

Fog of war did not seem to be confusing some of those parents that wanted to get into the building.
