Have you ever heard of the fog of war?

Doubtful the cops knew exactly what was happening as the situation was unfolding in real time. It's so easy to sit there behind a computer screen with 20/20 hindsight.

The fog of war? An 18-year-old with an AR-15 people like you INSIST HE SHOULD HAVE was their only opponent.

They left him inside a classroom with 20+ defenseless children and rescued their own kid. If they were in the military they'd be tried for abandoning their posts.

I think it's becoming clear that the SRO saw the AR-15 and quickly understood he was outgunned. So he tried to speak with the shooter before he entered the school, to dissuade him from entering. Shooter just kept running and entered the school. There's seems to have been some preliminary engagement with other early first responders within the first few minutes, but they quickly retreated and established a perimeter. By then, the gunman was already in a classroom and the police then focused on removing students from other classrooms.

Essentially, that 4th grade class was sacrificed because the police knew they were outgunned and/or didn't have the fortitude and courage to engage the shooter.

Sick, sick, sick.

Excuse me but outgunned? Look you sicko NRA.....ata a minimum have a fair damn fight. The cops can't be outgunned.....that is outrageous. Why would any one want to be law enforcement and be outgunned? What is law enforcement so pro republican NRA nonsense?

I'm not pro-NRA at all. I want the AR-15 outlawed for everyone.

But the initial responding officers were very likely outgunned by an AR-15. They knew it, recognized it, and that drove their decision to fall back and wait it out. So profoundly disturbing and cowardly.

Keep spinning the BS. They train on this in these schools all the time. There was one guy with a gun killing 2nd and 3rd graders. Unarmed teachers were laying their bodies down to buy time. If the cops had rushed in the killer would have to try to kill the cops instead on ten children.

Unarmed with no body armor teachers throw themselves in front of the shooter to buy time for their kids. Cops with weapons and body armor did nothing?

The SRO had one job and failed.
The town police had one job, and massively failed.
The Border Patrol took matters into its own hands. Should not have been their job.

The shooter is dead. The systems that allowed him to acquire the weapons he needed to commit his atrocities are largely abstract and remote. We want living people to heap our anger on. So these cops are going to have their time in the barrel.

These cops are armed to the f’ing teeth with a budget that makes schools twitchy with envy. And they are largely staffed by cowardly assholes who think they’re in 300 or could’ve played John Wick and start to piss themselves when they have to actually confront armed individuals.

I think we've learned by now that kids and teachers can be sacrificed, while cops must be worshipped and protected like gods.

Maybe because the cops were in the wrong here? The kid had NO BODY ARMOR and raced past cops and a SRO. They let him gun down a classroom for 90 minutes without breaching and even when they got in - they managed to get a victim killed by telling them to call out??

Metaphorically you mean. An entire classroom of kids and teachers was literally in the barrel and they did nothing.

Oh no it’s good guys with guns …what a load of BS. What a bunch of liars.

For every AR-15 you need about 10 good guys with handguns. It's not even taking into account effing body armor

Do we think a lawsuit will come from the victim's families?
