Come on. You are both right. Because every situation is different. It is awful and complicated and ANYONE can fall prey to an abuser. I am also an abuse survivor. |
Perhaps. The whole idea behind the YouTube channel and blog was nomadic life. She may not have felt equipped to do that on her own and may not have had anyone else in her life who could/would go with her. She stated in the body cam video that he primarily "drove the bus." Without the bus and nomadic life, the channel, blog, TikTok, etc., fall apart. |

My gosh you people are all over the place. First her parents didn't do enough, didn't raise her to have a job, etc.
Now her dad was too involved, too controlling. How about you just focus on the loser, killer boyfriend who is running from the law. |
That doesn't even look like him. |
Yes. My family helped me leave too, and I was lucky that I succeeded in leaving on my first try. It takes an average of 7 tries to be successful. It's hard, and anyone who thinks they can "DV proof" their daughter/child is wrong. |
+1 stop blaming the victim and her family. |
And this doesn’t even mentioned all the adultery and divorces. Look at Glennon Doyle, Jen Hatmaker, Eva Amurri, etc. It’s all fake. Duh. |
|
My theory is the it is very possible her parents kicked her out of their house. Her parents may have been trying to institute tough love on her, hoping she would grow up and become independent. She likely felt like she had no where to go and no family support, and thus is why she continued to take the abuse from for so long Brian. Being in a manipulative abusive relationship likely did not help her self confidence. So sad. |
Why would her father move from New York to Florida to be near her if they kicked her out? |
So glad you got out. Hope you're doing well now. |

Does anyone know if the FBI has investigated this reporting of potential suspect on trail cam near border of Alabama?

| It’s normal after a tragedy to analyze what went wrong. Not sure why people are saying otherwise. We do this after terrorist attacks, mass shootings, bad car accidents, other recreational activity accidents. It doesn’t mean the victim is a bad person or deserved anything, but we can still take lessons from what happened. |
And predictably, no analysis of what went wrong in his upbringing, only obsessively nitpicking every one of her perceived flaws and choices. What did she do to cause her death, what makes her so stupid as to not spot the signs, she had it coming for wanting to be famous, not how did his parents raise an abusive murderer. Every time. Every. Single. Time. |
Well, I only have daughters. So I’m much more concerned with keeping them out of this situation in the first place. Maybe I’ll succeed and maybe I won’t, but I’m damned sure going to try. I’m not going to just throw my hands up and say nothing I do matters. |
