Charlotte's arc felt a little white savior-y. She has no black friends but she's able to pull her new black friend's chestnuts out of the fire with her mother-in-law and suddenly she's "in" with the sisters? Uhhh...

And if Carrie is devastated by the loss of Big, it's hard to tell.

Miranda's prof opening up to her about IVF and maybe not wanting a child at all? They've known each other what? Weeks?

I happen to be simultaneously binging Insecure and while it's not perfect, holy cow, the quality differences are so dang stark.

Damned if we do, and damned if we don’t. Where is the line between being actively anti-racist and being a white savior? Tired of the absurdity of it all. If anything, this show is highlighting what a f’d up place white women are trapped in right now. I know, boo hoo. But dang. Our mere existence is offensive to people.

Boo-frigging boo!

Apparently, the show is not being renewed. I am disappointed as it was cool to see a show around mid-aged women. They made some huge mistakes. Big should never have died-he was the center of the show and not SJP. The dream of a big is too real for many women. Better if they separated and got back together at some point. Dead? No in the age of Covid just too depressing. The Samantha stuff was also mean-no one bought that Carrie would fire her friend and just act like no big deal. It would have been better for Samantha to be off on a cool assignment and see if SJP would finally write better things for Samantha so Kim would want to be on the show. I think she was tired of being sex crazed. If she also wanted more a piece of the pie then they should have given it to her. Again SJP ego got her. She was not the show. Also even the accusations against Chris Noth-they all jumped to side against him after saying he was wonderful literally weeks before. A friend would have said something like it was upsetting to read this stuff about your good friend who you do not see doing this stuff but of course want to give space for all the facts to come out. I know I was turned off that they just dumped him so quickly. It was strange. If it was my friend of 20 years, I would not so quickly believe a stranger and we know that there is a pretty good chance chance that he is actually innocent. These are accusations from a long time ago. I realize the women don't know each other but there are a lot of bad people who have figured out that you can shake down a celebrity. It is clearly working. Anyway no more AJLT for us to complain about.

Link or lie. I don't believe this for a second. The promo around this show has been massive, and it was an instant ratings hit for HBO. No way they diversified only to cancel after one season.

you can find it on eonline/super disappointed. They could have waited to see if things calmed down but in the cancel age…

I looked and can't find anything saying it's been cancelled, though I would not be surprised if it was.

There’s a Daily Mail article that says it’s been cancelled. And that SJP is super upset at what Chris Noth’s bad publicity has done to “Carrie”…

It’s not true. Daily Mail is just rehash of US article saying SJP is angry.

I don't believe it. The writers are probably scrambling to erase Bigs memory or references from all episodes in the 2nd season. No way it's canceled yet.

huge ratings hit - even if ppl hate it - so it'll be back for another season.
