Biden's VP?

Don’t forget we’re sinking deeper into recession, and people will gravitate towards a social safety net, universal healthcare, taking care of the little people, etc...

Warren, who was not a contender before, may be back in the running for just that reason.

I truly do not think it will be Klobuchar, even if Joe might like it to be. The #1 rule with VP picks is "do no harm" and although I think AAs could warm to some of the non-black prospects, not Klobuchar: https://www.politico.com/news/2020/05/23/black-activists-joe-biden-amy-klobuchar-vice-president-275326

Although any one of these could be a reasonable play, I suspect picking someone who does not represent the coastal elite will be the play. Young, telegenic, politics jibe perfectly with Joes's: my money is on Whitmer. I much prefer her to Klobuchar's dullness and poor managerial style.

That would explain why Whitmer was on The View. Her name isn't recognizable to commonfolk that don't touch politics. I was amused to see the ramp of up publicity as we get closer to Nov.

She's fantastic. I think she's the most likable of the prospects, and someone he feels he can trust, which matters a lot to Joe. Green in some key respects, but almost none of the prospects have much in the way of foreign policy experience. If he has a full term to mentor her, she could do well.

She’s growing roots. She also has the advantage of being the enemy of the enemy. Trump is boosting her popularity.

She's an excellent communicator, always civil and able to have a bipartisan conversation. Seems like she'd be a good partner to Joe.

More like paying attention to scientists and public health experts. You do realize she's following an objective set of guidelines formulated by experts, right?

It’s gotta be Harris.

Gosh, I hope not. Her campaign was a hot mess, which does not speak well of her managerial skill or policy chops. Not to mention Biden can't trust her, and that's really important to him.

So the restrictions were lifted and her husband asked to have his boat put in the water, and was polite when told no? Just the kind of nothing burger you people love to run with!

Again a grey area but a dumb thing to do.
