Carson was pretty broken up as well and that’s when my antenna went up. It was just a split second and my interpretation of that moment. Obviously didn’t announce anything on the air only that they would be reporting on regular news and that’s what Savannah would want. I know they are close in real life, so it is not out of the realm of possibility that Savannah is updating them privately. |
My guess is nothing immediately, at least nothing public. The public doesn’t know if anything that happened after the first deadline passed last week either. |
Tommaso. Big whoop. I don’t care to spell his name correctly. My autocorrect for some reason likes Tomasco better. I don’t think it’s nonsense if my suspicion appears to Seemingly Get Validated with every new update. Some of you are personally offended that the Guthrie family may be involved. Get a grip. |
Is there a clip of this? |
Yes, but Annie is the one who called 911 to report her mother was missing. She is also the one who told police someone from church alerted to her that her mother was missing at service. The cops had no reason to suspect an elderly Woman’s daughter of kidnapping or murder so they even announced publically that she was found missing at home after not attending church (Annie’s story) |
Of course the sister didn’t kidnap the mom. My god, people are getting caught up in dumb conspiracy theories. I suppose that happens when there is little information - imaginations go wild. But this poor lady is missing her mother. |
| I’m not following the story very closely, but with each update, I keep thinking there’s going to be an arrest, but it seems like they are no closer to solving it. What a living nightmare for the family. |
|
The police have changed the church notification narrative. That is no longer part of the scenario and the family member named who dropped her back off at home is now unnamed.
The steady stream of updates isn’t reflected in one location which causes additional confusion. |

This is about 30 minutes after Craig said Hoda would be with them this week and they had a completely different demeanor at 7:30 versus 7 AM – more somber. I hope we’re just reading into it but if you look at the two clips, there’s a definite mood change. |

How could the police and FBI say there’s no threat to the general public if the suspect is not identified?
Wouldn’t the kidnapper easily begin to target her cohosts and their families as easily as they did Savannah’s mother? No order for additional security at the NBC offices or family homes? |
Honey, almost everyone in here is suspicious of the family. |
The Idaho police in the college murders said the same thing “no threat to the public” long before they had a suspect. It’s odd. |
My understanding of “no threat to the public” is that it means that the victim was targeted specifically. It wasn’t a random crime or even a crime of opportunity. So even if they haven’t caught the suspect yet, the general public isn’t believed to be at risk. Unlike something like the DC sniper which was random attacks and the public was at risk. |
But do they know this? Or just think it? |
