That’s gut wrenching.

600,000 people go missing each year so pretty common. However of that number only 4,400 bodes are found later on.

Hard to believe that this thread was started a month ago.

I agree with this wholeheartedly.
If she was not related to a celebrity then the search would not have extended as long as it already has.
The search would have definitely been called off by now.

The search hasn’t made a damn bit of difference. She’s as missing as ever and they have no clue how to find her.

Exactly. The search has been going nowhere.

I’m so sad for her. I feel this will not end well after all this time prayers to the family.

What sicko does this!

It’s amazing that guy got away with this. He looked like he didn’t know what the hell he was doing

One guy from ex FBI said basically if you take someone for ransom and something happens such as person is no longer alive. You cant ransom anyone and you get rid of evidence.

And to be done successfully, it has to be done quickly before cops or media involved. The longer you have person more chance of getting caught.

Savanna and her sister (and her husband) visited the memorial outside their mother’s home this morning and they look absolutely in mourning.
My heart aches for their pain.

Hopefully this month will finally bring them the answers they so desperately deserve.

She was not taken to Mexico. That is the dumbest theory.

No, witness protection is the dumbest theory. Second dumbest is the Annie theory. Mexico is at least a remote possibility. Nogales is 90 minutes away and it’s not clear they search trunks for vehicles departing US. I don’t think that’s what happened but it’s not a super dumb theory.

While I agree this is the most likely explanation, still crazy no one heard or saw anything or left any evidence.

I wish these cameras would leave them alone. That’s awful. I am sure they willed like to spend time in their moms home without being watched — it is sometimes comforting to be among their things and to look at old pictures she may have, etc — that’s part of the grieving process and they are being denied that by being under constant scrutiny.

Why did they bother to go there? No need. They wanted the cameras to see them.

They will not get answers for a long time, if ever. The investigation has gone nowhere since day 1. The woman and her captor seem to have vanished into thin air and law enforcement is useless to discern more. She was 84 and not in great health- she isn’t coming home and the family truly might never know what happened to her. That isn’t being pessimistic, it’s just true. The news has got to move on as is this is a cold case at this point and the family should move into processing her disappearance and treating it as a death. Hopefully one day they will at least get to bury her remains if someone finds them.

They requested to be filmed to thank the people of Tucson who have placed flowers for their mother.

They wanted to acknowledge the support of neighbors and thank them. Same reason why when famous people pass away, the family usually goes and looks at the flowers.

No, the dumbest theory is that she is in witness protection.
