2021 DMV Boys Outlook

They did put up 10 on a top national team with a bunch of kids who grew up playing together in their neighborhood.

If I was Gonzaga, I wouldn't be happy with that.

I stopped trying to watch at 9-2. I'm sure GZ put backups in as they have a game Thursday against SJC.

It is not new that schools recruit. Public schools in MD recruit. I have seen it first hand. Club coaches who coach the local public start getting students who they coach on club to transfer to their school.....just like private schools do. Happens in football as well. Certain public school are notorious for poaching students from other programs and a few are straight up ridiculous about it. I wont name the schools....but if you are involved in MD public sports, you know who they are. In some cases, private school kids who are already committed to college programs are leaving their private schools and going back to their public schools and playing there as there. So this idea that privates recruiting is somehow new and unethical? SJC is a mini IMG? Please

Maybe towards the end of the 4th Q. It was 15-9 after 3.

Grasping for straws I see.

Lets talk big boy lacrosse as there are some big time games tomorrow.

Georgetown Prep vs Landon: GP's FOGO comes ready and their depth wears down Landon. Lil Hoyas 13, Bears 9

Bullis vs Saint Stephens: Bulldogs offense finally explodes and their overall team athleticism takes over. Bulldogs 14, Saints 10

St Johns vs Gonzaga: if this game is truly taking place, expect a much closer contest than the PVI - SJC contest. Cadets 12, Gonzaga 10

Why would this be much closer than the PVI - SJC game? GZ will make corrections based on what they saw happened to PVI?

Gonzaga is well coached and will be a better team than they were 2 weeks ago.

I predict GZ will play SJC a lot tougher than PVI did and full disclosure, i have zero affiliation with the Purple Eagles

If Gonzaga won by 6 what would PVI or SJC score be?

Beating a public school team does not mean they improved. PVI has stronger Junior and Sophmore class they will be ahead of Gonzaga for the next few years

Westminster HS in Carroll County has beaten DeMatha before. And Westminster has multiple MD4a state titles. So some public’s can hold their own. Not a ton, but some. GZ was not going to be a pushover for Riverside. But, I would think Riverside could beat GC/STA/STAE or DeMatha. In any case, SJC v GZ tomorrow should be good. Appears SJC now has Prep as their last regular season game.

Landon carries the momentum from the fourth quarter of their last matchup. FOGO neutralized. Landon pulls the upset 11-7.

Love it.
Landon figures out how to clear the ball and pulls off the upset.
Two months of practice to clear the ball at 80%.
Thanks Coach!

You are dreaming

Prep 17
Landon 6

The game won’t be close
