Elite privates? Who is that? |
| play Georgetown Prep or Bullis.... he wouldn't even agree to a game with Landon (only a scrimmage) |
Scrimmaged Bullis and Landon. Everyone called games out of conference play a scrimmage for the most part. Also scrimmages St. Mary’s. What else you want? |
| Is the WCAC the only league not having playoffs? League screwed those teams for a 2nd year. ADs should be fired for making dumb decisions. Public schools are even having states. |
SJC not even in the same class with these teams |
| Interesting the IAC is getting playoffs done, good for them...and not the legendary WCAC with it's emphasis on sports. Love the WCAC but Interesting they couldn't get it done |
Someone’s not paying attention. |
Not hard to put a playoff together. They got lazy with Covid and used it as an excuse. |
Didn't Culver play STJ (11-8) earlier in the season? There's even highlights on the web. They all should be great games to watch |
I agree. It sucks. My understanding is they didn't allow fall sports to have playoffs (who did get a full 2020 season) this year so they weren't going to give them to spring sports (which is nuts since they lost their 2020 season). Also, some schools are graduating in May and they don't want to allow athletes to play post-graduation. So unfair. |

WCAC has lacked leadership for years.
You have SJC operating like a mini IMG Academy it’s rather embarrassing. Schools aggressively recruiting across the board treating HS sports as if it’s SEC football. I remember when my son played Maplewood football back in the day and thought it was strange seeing the number of Gonzaga, SJC , DeMatha and GC coaches attending youth sports games. |
Not sure why recruiting athletes is strange? |
Exactly. Culver treated it as a game and SJC showed up in UA tryout pennies and played a deep bench. They can compete if not beat Culver. Taft is another story but these are “HS” full of post grad players so they should be better than a true HS. |
| Where did all the Riverside bloggers go? |
Probably back on some VA public school forum. |
