What’s amazing is this is not just a singular problem of the people here. Just to get these people homes, jobs, healthcare, etc for the 100k in NY and 2 million nationally that have come is a huge task. Mass is even asking residents to house migrants in their homes! Like they need more expenses as they struggle to deal with inflation and day to days cost of living.


But this will be an ongoing problem! 100k migrants IN NYC now, another 50-100k will come every year, so the billions being spent will be a constant cost and not be a one time problem. So at what point do Democrats say enough is enough. 200k, 300k, 500k immigrants costing the city at that point 20-30 billion annually? When does the city run out of money and taxpayers say enough? Some are migrants waiting for hearings 10 years fro know and some are illegal aliens who crosses illegally and never processed, hand shave no court date or asylum claims.

You are really comparing NYC to a small town in WVA?
That is truly an example of apples - oranges.

Meanwhile, this crisis,,,, yes, crisis.... is costing NYC billions and impacting schools.

But 100k migrants and budgets asking for 10-12 billion, housing migrants in school gyms, parks, hotels is unsustainable and affect the quality of life of all New Yorkers. And this will only get worse as more and more get here. Where will the next 100k go??? And then the next 100k??? At what point downs the system beak and we spend 10o billion on this?

Biden needs to seal the border as we can’t even handle the migrants we have here now. Why are more Dems not talking about this other than the mayors and governor of Mass declaring states of emergencies?

Democrats will be destroyed in the next election over this. If I’m a Democrat in NY and this is affecting my neighborhood/school/family, I’m not voting for it to get worse. This issue will overshadow so many others.

So now it’s a crisis in NY and Chicago when border states have been dealing with the unreimbursed costs for years and years.

For every student sends to NY they save in average $10,000 (average costs TX spends per student) and it costs NY $25,000 (average costs to education a student in NY). So it is really cost effective for Texas to keep busing students out of state.
