I even saw a headline about how Mandy Moore threw up when she saw what was going to happen in the final scripts. Gee, sound great. Sign me up.

Oh, please let this be the juicy train wreck you are teasing us with! Because I'm mostly hate watching, at this point.

They all die in a fire at Kevins new house?

No the character is just annoying now. It kinda ruins the show because her and Phillip have zero chemistry and Toby is just trying to provide and she can’t stop playing the victim card over and over again. The divorce just feels shoehorned in at the last minute.

Toby and Kate had a reason to get together, at least, with the weight loss being the catalyst. Kate and Phillip getting together is just out of the blue and unrealistic.

I live in Los Angeles with a neurotypical child and one with special needs and I found it very unrealistic that she was unwilling to move to San Francisco with Toby. She would not be able to live in that house and only work part-time as a teacher’s aide without a substantial second income. She was being selfish, plain and simple. It was completely unrealistic that Toby could take job paying much less and then afford two houses even if Kate took a full time job. Teachers don’t make that much at these schools.

Agree, and she's not a certified teacher, so making a small salary. Does she even have a college degree?

Didn’t we see a graduation a few seasons ago? Was it community college?

You are correct. Toby held a graduation ceremony for her.

She threw up because it was gut wrenching and a emotionally exhausting, not because she hates the show. Why are you even on this board?

A promising start, but please add details so every character ends up right back where they started.

Kate becomes impossible to live with so Philip kills her to save the family and a dragon takes her away.

As long as Philip lives so Chris Geere can lead in the spin off.

Well said! This is the glaring problem that is never to be spoken about and I'm sick of it. I would have had so much more respect for the writers (and the actress) if they had shown her going on a gastric bypass journey. She's a beautiful woman, but is morbidly obese and there's no sugarcoating that. As the mother of two young children, her health and safety should be foremost. In real life, doctors AND family members would be pleading with her to have the surgery. At that weight, diet and exercise aren't going to touch the issue.

agreed. Its a major issue that has been droppped since the first season when she met Toby in Weight Watchers. If he is eating healthier and working out, why isn't she. I also thinks its unrelastic that the british music guy is attracted to her. She can barely move.

Something really bad must happen because she already knew her character was going to die of Alzheimers.

Her walks to the park while singing- totally unrealistic. She'd be out of breath from the exertion of both. They don't do a good job showing how truly morbidly obese people live.

Rebecca dies surrounded by her family with Randall and Kevin holding her hands. At the same moment, Baby Hope is born. Cue “And When I Die” by Blood, Sweat and Tears

And when I die and when I'm gone,
There'll be one child born and a world to carry on, to carry on

I KNOW THAT. It’s just, why are you signing up for gut wrenching and emotionally exhausting? Every week?

As for me, I watched the show for a couple years until it became too ridiculous and too relentlessly depressing. However, I do low key want to know how it ends because I need to know what could be so upsetting it would make someone throw up. So I occasionally read what happened on message boards. And not gonna lie, now I find parts of this hilarious. I mean, Philip’s ex-wife was blind, infertile and then killed by a drunk driver? Like 5 minutes after ending their marriage? I mean, how do you not burst out laughing when you deliver that? The show is like a parody at this point.

Maybe its like that scene in the Naked Gun where the guy plummets to his death, gets run over by a truck, a steamroller, and then trod on by a marching band.

Maybe she decides to go ahead with bariatric surgery and dies on the operating table. It happens.

It’s sad when a good drama turns into unintentional comedy. I am watching to the bitter end hoping to keep my eyeballs in my sockets.
