She asked for an example of him saying racists stuff. I didn’t hear any examples....

So no example, then blame Sharon. Wow

If Sharon is confused, she can do a quick Google search. Demanding a black woman to explain why this extreme white man is racist? It doesn’t make Sharon racist but her privilege and ignorance shines.

The black woman (Underwood) made the assertion - yet provided zero examples of racism. None. Osbourne had every right to be offended and disgusted. You don’t get a pass for rudely accusing someone of something they haven’t done just because you’re black.

So you didn’t actually watch the video? Bc it’s pretty clear Sheryl was trying to explain what could be construed as racist and Sharon didn’t want to hear it. Sharon screeched, wailed, cussed and wouldn’t even let her speak. And the comment that Sheryl can’t cry was ridiculous but Sharon sure knows how to play a victim and make it all about her.

Sharon made her bed by defending an as*hole of a man. A man who reached crazy stalker level by being so loud in his hate of someone he barely knows. A man who can most certainly stand up for himself. Piers didn’t need Sharon to take his side. Sharon should’ve kept her mouth close. She wanted everyone to know she stands with Piers. Now she can stand there alone and look as stupid as he does.

Interestingly, I somewhat agree with your last paragraph. Morgan is a vile, nasty bully and I personally would never want to be friends with someone like that. However, the accusations of racism are truly ridiculous. If he had said the same things about a white woman - behaved in the same aggressive, sick way - we’d be calling him out for it. But “racism” wouldn’t even be a consideration. There is nothing he has said about MM that relates to her race, in any way. At some point, when is “racism” going to stop being the go-to for so many of you?? Call the man a a$hole, but you don’t need to fabricate additional outrage.

Your understanding of what makes someone racist is surface level at best. The fact is, he didn't say the same things about a white woman, and that isn't what we're talking about. You cannot divorce her race from the issue.

It's like when you find yourself in a sexist, misogynistic environment. You can see it in the little things that are said and done, but if you point out every one of those little things, people will gaslight you with plausible explanations. But you still know what's going on, even if it isn't egregious or obvious enough for a well meaning man to also see it. Racism can work this way too.

Yeah sorry, but no. It doesn’t work that way. Racism isn’t a feeling you feel and then assign to someone. You have to be able to prove it with concrete facts and examples.

Exactly. Thank you.

+1. I know it feels good to point your finger and accuse someone else of racism. It makes you feel like you’re a righteous warrior for justice.

But you need to be able to identify the racism. You need to be able to provide specific examples. Otherwise you’re cheapening the accusation, and that does real damage to actual victims of racism.

Oh, look - Piers Morgan said rude things about Hugh Grant and Madonna. In fact, he had them both banned from his show. But they’re WHITE!! How can we know this behavior wasn’t due to racism? This is just so confusing!

I don't think it's possible to prove this, though. If I were a juror listening to my own reasons for my relatively intense dislike of Piers, I wouldn't vote in my favor because the burden of proof hasn't been met.

So while it seems obvious to me that race is an issue in this, I get why others don't think it is so obvious.

That's the problem with issues of race often. I can know very well that it's at the root of someone's problem with me because of the little issues of tone, word choice, discrepancies between how they treat me vs. white people. But then if I say so and so is a racist, I have to have "proof" of their racism in the form of them using a slur. It's ridiculous.

A major factor in his problems with Meghan are rooted in issues of race. I know it. You know it. Sharon knows it. Someone can be racist and not have used a slur.

Yes. Anytime you want to accuse someone of racism, you should have proof of their racism. In general, you shouldn’t accuse people of anything unless you have evidence.

What would constitute "proof"? Who gets to decide?

Because right now it seems like white people get to decide, and only the most obvious and egregious examples count, while the real every day experiences of racism get dismissed as not being "actual racism" and we're told not to "cheapen" the accusation of racism.

DP. So every time someone is mean to you, you label it “racism”? Give us all a break.

Every person gets to decide for themselves. We all have free will. But accusations alone are never sufficient. If you throw around accusations of racism but don’t or can’t back them up, it becomes a “boy who cried wolf” situation. You’re not actually helping black people by making accusations of racism that you can’t support.

For both Sharon and Piers, the racism was present in their agrssive interupting POC who were trying to explain to them their biased behavior. The racism was literally on display. If you can't see it, it doesn't mean it is not there.

You mean POC are never to be interrupted? When a white person interrupts another white person, what is that? Do you understand how absurd you sound?

And frankly, if someone accuses me unfairly of racism, but happens to be a POC, I will absolutely interrupt them and set them straight. Enough of this groveling crap.

Well there seems to be enough evidence for everyone, except you.

DP. Hardly. The only people falling for this woke fake “racism” crap are those who are busy virtue signaling on social media. The rest of the world is rolling their collective eyes at the stupidity.

I don't think anyone has defended the cop. This is deflection. No one is denying that there is racism. What is being questioned is whether Sharon is a racist because she defended Piers who had the right to criticize Meghan. The assumption is that the only reason anyone would criticize Meghan is racism. That is the question here. And, the answer is that there is plenty to criticize and quesiton about Meghan that has NOTHING to do with race.

Don't pick and choose which part of my post to quote, then take what I said out of it's context.

First, plenty of people defended that man or said it wasn't about race. Plenty.

Second, WHAT COUNTS AS PROOF OF RACISM? The Racism deflectors always want proof but will never say what that proof is. Could it be because it doesn't exist? If someone doesn't use a literal slur while committing a flagrantly racist act, you all want to pretend you can see what's happening, and gaslight us into questioning our reality.

DP. What was the “flagrantly racist act” that Piers Morgan committed against MM? Still not one example. We’re STILL waiting.

I used it as an example of the most egregious, and one would think obvious, examples of modern racism, where even that video is not enough "proof" for someone who doesn't want to see racism.

I'm not in any way saying the situations are equal.

You’re an idiot. Nobody in their right mind is arguing that wasn’t racism. The facts are CLEAR in that instance. Those same facts are missing in all accusations that Piers and Sharon are racist. There are literally no facts at all to support racist claims against them except that Piers criticized Meghan which in itself is not evidence of racism simply because she’s 1/4 black. Are you even listening to yourselves?

If that were true, he would not have been fired. Someone with the power to make that decision found enough cause to do so.

Right - someone whose ratings are heavily influenced by the woke mob. Hopefully, there will be an immense backlash one day and people will stop apologizing for acts they did not commit.

He wasn’t fired because of racism. At least get your facts straight! He was fired because her ridiculed her suicide claims. This is why people like you are not taken seriously and just bring further detriment to the entire cause.

Oh you got me! Racism isn't real. Pack it up everyone. They figured it out.

DP. You are entirely missing the point. Racism is very real. But you diminish the real instances of racism when you throw around baseless accusations.

It's only baseless if you have your head in the sand refusing to see.

Then please tell us precisely what Piers said about Meghan that was definitely racist. Because you haven’t done that yet.

And they won’t. Because they can’t. He’s an equal opportunity offender.

The question to Sharon was “are you concerned that people think you support someone who is racist”?

The crying was bizarre and her attack was very defensive. But she never really answered the question.

Not was she ever supplied any examples of Piers Morgan being racist to MM. Not one example.

Personally I don’t think he’sa racist, I think he’sa misogynist whose bitter she didn’t want to have a drink with her and he felt entitled to her attentions.

Regardless of why any one person thinks Piers is odious, Sharon Osborne is still friends with him, still speaks up for him, and seems to be insulted that associating with him could damage her rep. But if you associate with a horrible human being who spews hate and someone asks you why, then they have a point, even if they get the exact label of horrible wrong. Piers isn’t mother teresa getting called a racist who lived an otherwise pristine life, he’s an enormous hateful ahole bully who’s just getting what he deserves. Only he knows what’s in his heart but he said enough to make people think he’s racist and misogynist and just generally awful, so maybe he should take a look in the mirror. And maybe Sharon should too

I spent like 20 minutes on that post pulling all kinds of tweets. I'm no 'just going ot say it' because clogging up two converstaions with the same tweets will be terrible for anyone reading the thread

The question was very direct and very specific. It has been asked multiple times. You simply are unable to provide any examples of PM being racist toward MM, so instead you wasted everyone’s time on some off-topic post about a bunch of other people who have nothing to with this thread. YOU HAVE NOTHING.
