There's no data like that because it's not collected. There is a little data on police stops by race or stop and frisk. I'm sure you can Google that.

I think it would be really interesting to have more comprehensive data on police harassment, but not with the time. Go spend some time in communities outside your bubble and see how the police treat them. Or if you want do that, listen to what they're saying with an open mind.

Walk around Baltimore. See how you like it? Walk around mid afternoon? Are you safe? Walk around at 5:00 pm. Have ya'll read the threads about not even walking one block in Baltimore? The threads are not even about safety in the evening or later? Do the same in Chicago. Chicago's nick name is Chi raq prounced Shy Raq is in Iraq.

This is all kind of nonsensical. By this logic, DC should have virtually no crime, because we have BY FAR the biggest police force in the country, on a per capita basis. And that's not even including all the federal police forces here. And yet crime in DC is really, really bad.

I think this so-called “defunding” movement is being driven largely by the emotions of the moment. The proposal is understandable, but it’s not practical. Without the police, where would feuding neighbors turn? Where would victims of domestic abuse turn? Where would the burglarized homeowner or business owner turn? The list could go on and on. We need the police to prevent from descending into chaos and anarchy.

The police shouldn’t go. It’s the current policing culture that needs to change.

I’m guardedly optimistic that what we’re seeing and participating in today will ultimately lead to a meaningful change in that culture.
