Speaking of Stella, I hope we get her character rounded out a bit this season. Looks likely. It's shallow but I love her look and her style on the show. One thing I like about the show is how stylish many of the women are, and not just in that TV news way (like Alex and Bradley). Stella, Laura, and Mia are all versions of very stylish, well-off, powerful NY media women and I love their clothes.

I am very glad to be done with Mitch. I think moving the show forward totally past Mitch and past Covid will be refreshing. I was still hooked last season but it was weird and didn't always work. I think they are back in their groove now.

I loved the Tig Notaro sighting and hope she comes back. This show manages to cast the most randomly delightful people sometimes. Tig, Mark Duplass, Greta Lee. It's kind of a silly show with really high production values and then the casting always feels like a weird stunt but I love it.

Tig is great. A few years ago she had her own show, can't remember where-maybe HBO. it was slow to get into but really sweet and funny. I love her cast in this role with Jon Hamm since you would expect her would only hire hot young women as his "assistants"

What was that scene?!? Alex and her constand, "Oh my GOD!! Oh my GOD!!!" I mean, I get that she was startled, but she so overacted in that scene. Bizarre. I like Jennifer Aniston, but get very tired of her constant verbal tics: sighing, mm-hmmming, addressing everyone as "honey" like she did in Friends, etc. It's beyond old.

You do realize what she says on screen is what is written and she has to say it?

I actually thought the scene was funny because its as very much about how Alex has Main Character Syndrome and once she's over her initial shock, she's like "let's all go out together to celebrate! this is so great! how can I be involved!" and there's some great subtle face acting from Duplass and the actress playing the assistant where Chip is almost ready to agree because he has a grossly codependent relationship with Alex, but the assistant is like "haha, no."

I love Mark Duplass in that role so that sells a lot of the show for me. He is so, so good at playing this guy who is likable and loyal but also entirely careerist with almost no actual morals. To me the show is very much about how these people can say all they want about "journalism" or even entertainment but at the end of the day, they are entirely in it for themselves and their own egos. It rings extremely true to me.

He didn't cause the hack, it just happened.

But then he wanted to get rid of Cybil and used the cover of the hack to leak the racist email. If he'd leaked it without the hack, it would have been more transparent than he'd done it. With the hack and all these other internal docs getting hacked, no one would suspect him. We see him calling someone to make it happen at the end of the second episode.

I'm not sure how Stella knew her done it though. Maybe we're just supposed to recognize fnize it as an example of her being very savvy. Curious to find out her background with Hamm's character.

Jon Hamm’s character did the hack to get back at Corey for not selling and delivering Alex on his space launch. I think Stella knows Hamm did it because he (and maybe she helped him) did it to another company. He’s “ruthless”. I believe she worked and dated him in the past. She said she came from the tech world.

Tig was on (and maybe in next season) of Star Trek Discovery. IMO, she’s a horrible actress. I wonder if she got this part because JA wanted to make up for not doing First Ladies.

Her show was "One Mississippi" and I loved it too. I was hoping she'd be somewhat funny in this role (in her dry, sardonic way), but so far she's not funny at all.

I find Stella to be incredibly abrasive. Her voice is just like nails on a chalkboard - very intense and monotone, always. Ugh.

It’s not Juliana Margulies being pale that makes her so severe looking - I think her coloring is beautiful. She’s done something to her face and I can’t put my finger on it. She just looks extremely gaunt.

It’s how gaunt she is that’s the issue. It makes her look brittle and frankly older (not that I believe getting older is a bad thing). She’s also 11 years older than Reese and 4 years older than Jennifer so. Julianna is 58
