I see this with the Bethesda 2008G teams. The Blue Team is ranked high, but the rest of the 2008G teams are ranked pretty low. They are somehow able to effectively recruit to fill rosters for 4 teams.

The rest? Bethesda 2008G have problems getting enough girls for a second team. Their blue team won one league game in the fall? Think they did okay in the lower bracket of the Jeff Cup- ie got points for ranking system. So they seem better vs what they are. This is why rankings should be viewed with a lot of skepticism.

Do you realize that BSC U11G has 4 teams (Blue, White, Green & Orange)?

BSC u11 Girls has two teams- blue and white. I heard a few blue team players each week had to play with the white team because the white did not have enough players. You may want to check your sources!

Previous poster is correct. Blue and White. Blue players had to guest play with White during the Fall. Not sure if they have brought anymore in since Fall.

Gotsoccer awards points off tournament results and gives more points to certain tournaments based off an agreement between gotsoccer and the tournament. Like the older age groups are awarded massive points for winning their edp league but no points are awarded to a DA team for winning their league. Does that make sense to you?

BRYC does not have a really good 2008 team. They have a few good players. I believe they are 0-7 in their 2 tournaments they just did in March. And since they don't do any games we won't have any idea if they have improved any until Memorial Day weekend which is after tryout season.

FPYC Parent didn’t do the ranking. Youth Soccer Rankings did. What FPYC Parent did was use Youth Soccer Rankings team scores and combined the local MD, DC and VA 08 teams into a list.

BRYC is ranked based on traceable performance just the same as any other team is ranked. FPYC Parent isn’t handicapping teams and teams are not being ranked based on woulda, coulda, shoulda.

You haven't said anything towards youthsoccer? You really think PWSI and VSA deserve to be on the top with those points? If you sleep good at night that's all that matters. I guess CCL teams don't matter since they dont show results and how about Mclean? They're undefeated in NCSL so they should be top 3. But hey it's ONLY soccer! NFL teams say they're the best in the world without ever playing another country but that's how WE are. I hope they don't show CCL results so you dont lose your place.

I know nothing about any 08 teams. DS plays boys DA and DD plays girls EDP. Thankfully the small-sided years are behind me. You’ll look back at your arguments on here and laugh. All of the clubs being discussed are good except Great Falls. You are all in for a treat when the ECNL/DA tryouts come along though in 12 months.
