Loudoun Boys dropping DA for ECNL
The DA would become just another league calling itself "elite," and more top clubs may very well choose the more consumer friendly ECNL option.
You mean "The more profit friendly ECNL option."

Yeah. Interesting choice of words. Does ECNL coat less than DA? I thought the costs were comparable.

ECNL costs the same as DA and you only get ECNL training for 6 months versus ten because of High School.

Most ECNL clubs train year round. Some play in the top divisions of EDP in the Spring.

It is not 6 months vs 10 months.

Its March, April, May.

Ecnl is back in June training for July playoffs.

At what age does ECNL stop spring training? U13 and U 14's are not in high school? DO they also stop training and not have games?

U15 teams is when they stop playing fall and spring in ecnl. If player is U15 but not yet in HS they are allowed to play on U14 team during HS season.

Do ECNL teams completely stop training together too during HS season? What do the private school kids who don't have soccer that season do?

In a lot of cases, yes. I have heard that some of the clubs enroll the teams in EDP as a spring option, but I think this is tough unless you have enough commitment from the players.

Boys ECNL have conference games in the spring.

Virginia ECNL question - What are the kids who go to private school where HS soccer is in an opposite season supposed to do for training during the spring while all their ECNL team mates practice with their HS teams? Do they just take a 3 month break from soccer entirely?

Private school kids will have a few months off
