Don't expect crazy Americans to argue with logic. Their only language is skin color. |
| I am a Democratic Party fundraiser and lawyer but am also Asian. I hate Trump, except on this. |

Harvard is truly f**ked!

They are under-represented based on merits. |
Exactly. They are underrepresented everywhere. Same as Jews were in the 19th and 20th centuries here in the US. |
Harvard's prospects (at the Supreme Court) just dimmed significantly |
| If AA goes, so goes legacy. Be careful what you wish for? |
As it should. |
| John Roberts is harvard’s Only hope. |
LOL. +1 for completely unapologetic self-interest. |
It’s funny how some people think that those who oppose AA must love legacies. Most people hate both and just want things to be fair for everyone. |
This is a logical inconsistency. Skin pigmentation, by itself, presumably does not directly affect academic performance Legacy, however, directly affects future fundraising, so using it in admissions decisions has business justification. |
I am Asian American as well and I am opposed to Trump and his Supreme Court nominations except for the fact that they will overturn the AA policy. |

Not sure why all the hate on here trying to help those in need. If they don't have the score or stats, just give them a boost, just big enough to overcome the next competitive student.
Who doesn't like a little boost for hundreds and thousands of years of injustice? |

How many times do you people have to be told:
Race factor in admissions is not designed to make up for any past injustice. It exists because colleges believe a racial makeup which reflects the population makes them better able to accomplish their goals. That's IT. Read a book about it. There are many. |
