Nope, I would not be freaked out and neither would my kid to the point of crying and screaming. But then again, I have raised three kids and I am fully aware of the things that kids that age can run across. I am also aware of the pranks that kids pull on each other to get each other to look at these types of images.

O.k.....but it apparently is the reaction that Op's kid had. That doesn't make the kid a wimp or snowflake. Maybe something about the picture legitimately terrified him. Maybe he is starting to go through puberty and has a little bit of a belly and man boobs to go along with it all. Maybe seeing a picture of a grown man/woman with boobs and a penis completely freaked the kid out.

PRecisely. I grew up very very religious and sheltered and I can say that at 11 screaming and crying would not have been my reaction or the reaction of my peers and I assume you none of us had seen porn.
