When was the last time there was a liberal march for jobs, the economy, and national security - not as a side issue, but the main issue of the march.

Occupy Wall Street?

Hahaha!

What is so funny? Try to start any protest in China that is not sanctioned by the party, including anti-abortion, you will get crushed by tanks.

Ooow. THE DRAMA MAJOR IS HERE.

I'm not defending the Chinese government nor their treatment of human rights. I'm actually surprised you Liberals haven woken up after 8 years of ignoring issues I most admired you for championing. But, you suck in America and your foreign policy sucks in words, deeds and actions. Get a clue. Since you are sooooo smart....how much of our debt does China own? Hmm?

What did Occupy Wall Street accomplish?

What next, will someone post an article saying "Uruguayan sorghum farmers think NASA engineers are whiny little bitches and that they will never put anything into space" - except that NASA engineers know a shit load more about putting things into space than Uruguayan sorghum farmers and have in fact been putting things into space, putting humans into space and on the moon and visited every planet in our solar system and the opinion of Uruguayan sorghum farmers on the subject is pretty much something irrelevant, meaningless and that nobody gives a damn about.

Huh? I thought it was the liberal's worldview that we should march towards globalism, in which we care very much about what Uruguayan sorghum farmers think about our NASA engineers.

Ha!

She is an embarrassment to Asian Americans. Major in Psychology and Theater, minor in German?

As a fellow Terp, this makes me sad.

Why? She can't criticize the Xi regime? Who voted him as the emperor of China? You are an embarrassment to humanity.

No, I am sad because she is a textbook example of ?????As a Chinese immigrant, I know there are many things that China can do better. It emerged from an oppressive communist regime into a more socialist one, but one that still trails the west in freedom, human rights, environmental protection, and other important areas. That said, China has been making blindingly fast progress by any historical measure, to the point that the west is telling China to pump the brakes and slow down, out of concern that China will be unable to deal with the pace of change and result in large swings in economic, cultural, and political stability. Her critique on the lack of freedom in China shows that she either has a lack of understanding of what is happening in China, or more likely she is grandstanding in front of a group of Americans, slapping the face of her home country to appeal to the pride of western liberals.

As an aside, all the talk about fresh air is pretty over the top. China's environment is *NOT* as good as the US, but it has gotten a lot better, and is not nearly as bad as she made it sound. Again, this shows that she is grandstanding, shaming her home country to an exaggerated degree to make western liberals feel good. I wouldn't be surprised that after this, she and her family will apply for asylum due to fear of political persecution. And of course her parents will have to be cared for on the backs of American tax payers because she is going to be less than productive with her degree choices.

She is a clown, making an exaggerated performance in the hopes of some reward from her audience.

I commend you on the way you have presented the challenges of your home country. I also hope we never forget the lesson of slowing down the importance blinding progress, as we go through our own growing pains. We want and need to progress and we need to get it right.

Thank you for your post.

Ah. They were the forebearers to legalizing medical marijuana? Too much?

Yep, an unintended consequence. Law enforcement had to stand down due to the sheer magnitude of toking that was going on, and saw that no one really got hurt from it. The local purveyors of snacks and pizza probably saw a nice sized bump in their revenue, which translates into more taxes paid. On a more sinister side, the politicians saw how docile the protesters were as long as they were left alone with their bongs and bongos.

Surely you're not actually equating liberals to "NASA engineers"... if so, thanks for yet another laugh!

Point sailed right over your head. These chinese commenters are commenting on something they clearly do not have the slightest freaking clue about. Kind of like what conservative commenters do, only worse.

I got your point, though I didn't agree. I was amused by your analogy choice. What a hoot.

That is especially true because worrying about "topics such as immigration, minorities, LGBT and the environment" may get you arrested. All of those Chinese intellectuals who think worrying about the environment is a hilarious joke are welcome to breath the air pollution in Chinese cities all they want. They can even make jokes about me while they do it. Sadly for their sake, the real joke will be on them.

Plus, Chinese men have some of the smallest penises in the world. 4.29.

The type of pertinent information that any self respecting liberal would have at the ready.

Oh dear. OP and others like him/her, I could not possibly care less what the Chinese say. They have enough failings, economic, political and moral, that they are not my gold standard or barometer for anything.

And, further, if i were you, I'd be more concerned what other countries are saying and thinking about our government, our presidents, and the morons who support him. That is far more concerning and affects everyone.

They adopted a phrase "Obama" which means something that looks good, but is actually a zero. It might be used when buying a scratch lottery ticket - when you scratch it off, there's no prize - that's an Obama.

Haha ! I agree !

So... We should only care about those other countries that have something negative to say about Republicans, and disregard those that have something bad to say about liberals.

Thanks for illustrating your bias.

Dearest,

The secret recipe for successful global diplomacy isn't held by liberals. You are a moron for insulting a country we all need to help us with a NK. Please stay within your area of expertise. Xo

I'd argue that the people in Times Square were hurt by it. It was laced with PCP.
