Yep, an unintended consequence. Law enforcement had to stand down due to the sheer magnitude of toking that was going on, and saw that no one really got hurt from it. The local purveyors of snacks and pizza probably saw a nice sized bump in their revenue, which translates into more taxes paid. On a more sinister side, the politicians saw how docile the protesters were as long as they were left alone with their bongs and bongos. [/quote]
