What boxed gift does my fashion-forward, beautiful 21 yr old niece want for Christmas (up to $500)?

PPP, I love you!

Do you know my MIL? Slightly bitchy, LA restaurant owner who complains about her unstylish, unbotoxed East Coast DIL? I will parse through your suggestions, but can you recommend an LA stylist who could secretly meet with me and my teen daughter prior to the announced day of our next LA visit to spruce us up for one day so we don't get the withering glances? So, so willing to fly in a day ahead of time. Otherwise, I may have to slap her so hard her makeup and jewels land on my FIL. Ha!

Also, sending healing vibes your way. Having been there, I know that this frivolous stuff can take your mind off what can otherwise be a daunting and scary time. You/your loved one will get through it and have loads of positive energy coming from home.

Oops, meant coming from my home.

Besides being so thankful for your efforts, I have two tidbits that may be of minor interest to you. 1. After many many years and more bad bags, I now now a tote bag that nicely holds a file folder (8x11), can fit my macbook on occasion, and other necessities. I finally bought the small Amy Ferragamo tote and absolutely love it. So you you're ever looking for a certain bag, that might be it!
2. Especially if you're recuperating or bed rest or under the weather at all, check out Shitt's Creek on Amazon. It's nothing like anything I've liked in the past, but on bed rest myself I started watching it out of sheer boredom and ended up laughing out loud. I thought of you and think you'll enjoy it if just for the clothes the Rose family wears. Especially David Rose -- he's a hoot. My best to you!

Just gave a rec from your list: another purchase. Thank you.

I'm not really fashion forward by any stretch and would likely never realistically buy any of your recs... but I am having fun looking at them. Here's another fan of PPP (and not a PP)

Would love any recs in the under-$100 price range for those of us who would like to be stylish on a budget. Thanks!

Haha, I've actually considered setting up a YouTube channel with style and fashion tips. Good to know I'm on the right track for it.

Anonymous wrote:Publicist pp, do you have a blog?? Would love to see more of your recs.,.

I don't have a blog but that's a good thought. I don't just want to make blind recommendations though so I could possibly set up a Q & A type blog. Readers send in their requests as you guys have posted yours here, and I can make recommendations. That way it would be different from the trazillion and one style blogs already out there. Hmm. You guys are giving me some great ideas!

You're so welcome! I'm thrilled that I was able to provide suggestions that so many of you enjoyed. This was a lot of fun for me and such a great distraction.

And for those who had negative comments earlier today, even the most detailed posts I made in this thread and the other one took me no more than 10-15 mins each, as this is my job and I know these products like the back of my hand. I'm not sitting here searching the web trying to find and think of recommendations. These are products and brands I know and love. I just narrow them down, add some links, and boom, post is done.

Maybe you've been fortunate enough to never struggle with a health crisis like I am right now, but even the slightest distraction is welcome, and writing these posts did more for me than it did for those who asked for the recommendations. For all of you who asked for recommendations and were appreciative of the advice I shared, thank you. I mean it from the bottom of my heart.

Hey are you looking for an assistant while you heal? I would love to help you.
