There is absolutely nothing to show that the gorilla was going to kill the kid. In fact, the gorilla appeared to be protecting the brat which is more than the idiot mother was doing.

Apparently the mother thinks that god is looking after her kids do she doesn't need to do so herself.

"We are so thankful to the Lord that our child is safe."

To all you bashing the childs mom- has your kid ever fallen? Have you ever tended to one kid when the other ran off? Have you ever had a kid run out into the street and you were scared? Has your toddler fallen down the steps because you thought he was safe and might have went to the bathroom? Shit happens to everyone. I am a VERY careful mom- and had an near death experience with my 3 year old when getting my older child dressed and he ran off. I sure hope the mom never reads this- as she probably feels enough guilt and sadness already. Doesnt need you evil people bashing her too. What is wrong with you people?

Shit happens. Most of the time when shit happens, it doesn't result in the killing of a rare and endangered animal. I think people are bashing the mom because she doesn't seem to accept any responsibility or understand the gravity of her carelessness.

This, this, this! I'm devastated for that poor animal. Humans suck sometimes.

So, are lowland gorillas a lot different from silverbacks? Because this same thing happened 10 years ago and the gorilla picked up the kid and carried him to the zookeeper door.

Yes, but the British crowd was told to keep very quiet and held back. The American crowd here was screaming at the gorilla and caused it to get nervous.

Cause we are super helpful like that.

I mean, look how wonderful we are being after the fact....

I'm disturbed when idiotic human beings keep breeding and breeding , I'm particularly disturbing who apparently have the will power to reproduce but lack the wherewithal to properly exercise their parental authority

That was a female gorilla. In the wild, females do 100% of the childcare, so they may have better instincts for knowing how to protect a child.

This gorilla is a lowland gorilla. Silverback is a term that indicates that he's an adult male.
