Humans behaving badly means zoo animals die

My god, the gorilla was going to kill the child. What if it was a cute Yorkie that jumped into the enclosure? Would the killing of the gorilla be justified to you nut jobs then? When I pay to go to a zoo, I expect completely child safe enclosures.

A Yorkie would presumably be on a leash, which would have been a good option for the 4yo unsupervised human.

Yes. A toddler who makes a mistake is destined to be a psychopath.

A 4 year old is not a toddler.

Preschooler than. Really doesn't change the previous sentence.

And it's not the idiotic human beings.

Do you have kids? Or pets? I'll take a guess as to which.

A PP here, and +100000000.

I truly hope you aren't a parent. But I doubt you are. There are clearly a few "animals are my children!" Type people on this thread. News flash: they aren't.

+1000000

The mom has four kids so far. Her idiotic genes have already been passed down.

Harambe won't get that chance.

She should be sterilized to prevent further children. And lose existing kids to CPS since she can't properly care for the ones she has.

I thought that too as I watched the videos. At least he was paying attention to the kid.

Jack Hanna 100% agrees with the actions taken here. And we all know how much he disrespects and hates animals.

It is not even a question as to whether the zoo took the right actions. Of course they did. Even if the parents were 100% at fault (which we don't know), it was the right action. Sad and terrible that they had to do it, but the right thing.

Are you just posting nonsense for the hell of it because this is totally irrelevant.

Petition regarding what happened, if you are interested. There are thousands of signatures (most recent update). The parents could be held accountable:

There is also a story about a female gorilla saving a child in 1996. Not that this would have happened in this instance, but it shows what intelligent and marvelous creatures they are:
