That is a big difference, but I think the logic still stands. I know a number of people who got in to Brent with no sibling preference, which is very different from the last few years. The point is that schools change and your chances change from year to year. A school that was a long shot can become a school where you have a shot very quickly, just as a school where you think you have a good shot (like LT or JOW) can become an impossibility very quickly. Unless you have all low probability schools among your 12, it can't hurt to add a school where things might change.

Be kind, everyone. It's a complex system, and not everyone has the time or inclination to immerse themselves in it. And you go a little off your rocker when you do. I speak from experience.
That being said, yes, getting into Brent PK3 this year as an OOB kid was never going to happen. But this is a smaller cohort than last year, so apply again for K. They may end up taking a number of OOB kids to fill the classes.
