Post yours! We didn't get into any PreK3 charter schools. Looking at moving out of DC w/in the next year or two.

We got Langley and I know we're not the only ones. We are planning to enroll and I'm optimistic about it. No plans to move-- Bloomingdale is too nice to leave without a few more spins of the wheel.

We are #26 at our first choice school, Inspired Teaching PCS. Anyone have an idea of what the chances are for getting in? We missed the open houses, but have trusted friends with kids there and like what we've heard and read about it.

For PK3? Chances aren't great - there are a lot of PK3 siblings this year, so the waitlist will likely move less than in the past. For PK4, most WL movement will come from attrition - while it happens, it's usually only a couple of slots. Sorry I can't be more optimistic!

PK4-
Stokes- WL #34
DCB WL- #32
Bridges- WL- #15
ITS WL #32

From what I'm reading it seems like the best chance is at Bridges. Really want Spanish immersion- is it worth it to re-rank DCB above Stokes for 2 WL spots? Are we just low enough in numbers where this is hopeless?

Reranking won't change your WL numbers. It just changes if you say on the other waitlists if DCB calls.

Gotcha. Thanks. Now it's just a waiting game. Any thoughts on this being too low on the list for any chance?

Yikes, those are far apart. Do you live in Georgetown and work in L'Enfant?

Pk3

We got into ITS with a sibling accepted. It was our first choice of 2. We only lotteried to ITS and the school my older son attends now.

PK3 - 40s and 50s for Mundo Verde and Bancroft so no hope. Low teens for Cleveland Spanish. I'm not sure how far Cleveland Spanish went into their WL after Round 1 last year - anybody know? I'm assuming since they only take 8 English dominant kids we don't have a chance.

Your best chances are probably Bridges and DCB. If you re-rank make sure you choose your true preference between those two higher.
