Did most of your colleagues attend large universities?

Bit of a mixed bag. A few big ten schools, a couple VA people (UVA and W&M), a couple ivies. The look on her face though. It was like we were neanderthals who had never heard of Princeton or something. lol

I don't disagree with her assessment of you all. I'm from the northeast and of course I've heard of it- it is an excellent and competitive college. I would think in the DC area (which I basically consider the south) everyone would know this college.

It's an Elon at best.

If you actually believe this, you are obviously clueless about both schools. Davidson is a couple of notches above Elon in pretty much every way.

+1, although Elon is aggressively trying to raise its profile.

+1. I don't understand not only not knowing about it, but being proud of this.

Is it the woman, in particular, or the school that's bothering you so much?

There seems to a lot of I'm ignorant and proud of it going around these days.

This may have already been said I did not read through every page but how have you not heard of Davidson? Besides being a great school, it was where Steph Curry went--the most famous athlete on planet.

Anyone "in the know" has heard of it. Actually I'M happ to hear so many have not. Less apps for competition when DC gets ready to apply.

I grew up in NC (and applied there), so yes, I have heard of it.

I'm actually not familiar with Williams.

I grew up in NoVa and had relatives from NC who wanted me to apply to Davidson. I did not (it wasn't a top choice and their application at the time was quite long) but was accepted to Williams (my second choice). It never would have occurred to me, then or now, to profess ignorance of a particular school - perhaps that was one reason I got into so many. The more schools I visit over the years, the more I am convinced you could get a great education and have a wonderful time at most of them.

Steph Curry is the reigning NBA MVP and plays for the reigning NBA champions, who were undefeated until about a week ago, two months into the season. He's such a good shooter that a former coach of his says he is hurting the game by taking three-pointers rather than driving to the hoop.

Certain areas of the media have been bashing education as "elitist" for decades.

Thank you. Must be pretty smart too, to go to Davidson.

If you are a trump supporter, I can understand never having heard of the school. Otherwise, you must live under a rock.

Btw, it is a beautiful campus. Would love one of my kids to wind up there.
