"high SES" seems to be the code word ... like all "poor" or middle class black parents just pop out non-learning space eaters and the decks WILL be scrubbed eventually

I'm a "high SES" black parent VERY low SES origins, btw .. so maybe the poster is talking about MY child. This is all so confusing

We just moved overseas this year, but attended Bethune for PS3. DD loved it and she talked about her teachers allll the time! I also really appreciate how helpful they were once we moved and the American school was requesting additional info. We have ultimately settled into a French school, full immersion. I'd always planned to re-apply to Bethune once we returned to the States, because it's a lovely school. We might opt for Stokes, Lycée Rochambeau, or WIS if she really takes to French.
