I’m one of the earlier posters. There’s nothing wrong with Indians or any other foreigner buying a new home for their family, working good jobs and building a prosperous life in America. However that should not come at the deliberate cost of Americans being purposely denied the same opportunities. Other countries defend and protect their local workforces, and the US should too, but does not. That causes American workers to be resentful. This story has been repeated multiple times in American history.

This is one of the worst. US Universities train our children but universities claim they cannot find "skilled" labor. absurd. And democrats are suing so that they will have unlimited H1Bs, because there is no limit on H1Bs for public universities.

UNLV was never required to consider a single American. Regular H-1B has no labor market test, so employers select the foreign hire first, then file. The posting is a disclosure, NOT a job ad.

Universities are cap exempt, so no lottery caps them either. They can do this year round, unlimited, without ever opening the role to US workers. “No Americans qualified” isn’t something they had to prove...or even check.
