Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)
I feel bad and uncomfortable that the details of what happened to the victims has been reported on- as if it needs to be really bad to be taken seriously. Unwanted, inappropriate touch of any kind should not be tolerated! I would be pissed if my daughters were “merely” butt slapped by a stranger at school. I was groped under the skirt in my twenties in a metro station and it was a horrible experience. I feel terribly for these girls. |
| Reid needs to be fired and so does this principal. She slandered the victims in a public email (disputed their statements and video evidence?!?) and the board makes a statement of support?! |
Are you sure you don’t need help? You are giving off struggle bus vibes! Girl/boy step off that struggle bus, lay down that giant heavy shoulder chip and breathe. Remember Jesus helps those who help themselves. |
| Love the statement from Fairfax City talking about supporting them in this "difficult time." The people they are most concerned about in this "difficult time" is their own jobs--not the experience of the young girls. |
This is from the announcement when she was hired: "She created a reunification and transition program to support English Language Learners who are new to the country and new to a formal school setting and launched a 'We All Belong Here' initiative that promoted unity, equity, and cultural inclusivity in academics, performing arts, clubs, and athletics." |
Yes illegal alien adult rapists belong here with your children |

Once again FCPS leadership comes down on the wrong side of the issue. Well past time for Reid to go.

And yet the decision makers that brought us here will continue to do so because they will be reelected. They hate you. |
| Although this story is now in the news nationally- many of us heard about it the day he was arrested....and know families of the girls. Is he really being permitted to come back to the school once released? As a parent with a daughter who would evenutally attend this school - I am lost for words for how disturbing this is - and can only imagine the trauma these poor girls and families are going through- and will forever go through. Saying it happens everywhere is one thing, and yes the world isnt perfect- but we should be teaching our children to stand up for themselves so that they can recognize that adults - who are there to protect children under 18- will then take action. Not sweep things or minimize them to the extent that they feel as if this behavior "isnt that bad" or even sightly acceptable. As a mother of a daughter- our responsibility is to teach our daughters that no one touches you unless you permit them too- what is this entire incident teaching/showing them? Sad no matter what your political stance is- it is not acceptable no matter what side your on- for a male to touch a female without permission nor female to touch a male. |
This discussion is on the FCPS forum so I assumed that Fairfax HS is part of FCPS, but that statement was from the Fairfax School Board. Horrific either way, and I have no faith that Reid would defend the girls in any case. |
Yes, this highschool happens to be lcoated in Fairfax City- where they have a different school board however the schools are run/managed by Fairfax County- its a little complicated but this school has students that live in Fairfax City and Fairfax County. Not a good look for this admin or Reid. Yes- horrific for everyone involved. |
