Kamala Harris - new post

Then I suggest you keep doing what you've been doing. "Mayor Pete and pair him with a woman of color" instead of letting the most popular candidate actually win a primary without shenanigans.

The only person dumber than Harris is Biden--he's the crazyoldman who selected her.

Imagine if he had chosen a competent VP instead.

His is well-documented publicly:
1. Biden promised to choose a woman for VP.
2. After that, Clyburn made him promise to choose a Black person.

I've never understood that a Democrat in South Carolina--that votes Red in the General Election-gets to choose the Dem nominee for President--and in the 2020 election-also got to choose VP.
It makes no sense.

There were not too many good choices there that had name recognition.
I've read that Pelosi wanted him to choose Karen Bass.

Who knew that a sexist and racist hiring decision could end up poorly.

VPs have little responsibility until the POTUS is dies or becomes incapacitated. Harris did nothing "poorly". Everything that went wrong from January 2021 through January 2025 including the 2024 election disaster was 100% the fault of Joe Biden. Biden ended his VPs career just as Trump ended Pence and Vance's careers.

Sorry Kamala but you did everything poorly since your inept primary back in 2020 till your "I can't think of anything I would have done differently" than Biden.

You personify Dilbert's Principle.
I don't think Kamala ran in the primary in 2020.

She did along with a dozen or so other candidates until Sanders and Warren spooked the mega-donors into telling everyone to exit the race so the known commodity could be the nominee. This is how it's possible for an unlikable 77 year old to become a major party nominee. Sickening.
False.

You're an idiot.

Thats fine. Then don’t except show up and vote D. There was leakage in the last election.

Whatever. People will vote for the candidate they feel is best. Most of us don't vote based on the color of someone's skin.

Oh I think you do…

Obama was the most popular and successful two term president in recent history. He’d win in a heart beat if he was running today. Democrats making everything about race to explain why Harris lost are barking up the wrong tree.

Even among Republicans, the last candidate standing in their primary was Nikki Haley - a brown woman.

The candidate matters. And it’s incredibly dumb for Democrats to fixate on racial and gender boxes. The number of voters who would only vote for a white man is vanishingly small. Get a good candidate and 90 percent of Americans wouldn’t give a damn about their race or gender.

This is all Democrats obsess over. We see it in thread after thread here on DCUM - "who should run in 2028?" And then post after post about what combination of race and gender would make a winning team. Absolutely idiotic.
Yet they keep nominating white people. Even in 2008, whites voted for Hillary over Obama.

OK, it was a joke that she dropped out in 2019.

I'm really confused by how anybody could consider her a strong candidate for any political office moving forward?

I mean there are no words to excuse her mess. No excuses. SEVEN SWING STATES. SEVEN. I actually think anyone with 1/2 a brain who had been in the gang as long as she has could have at least won just 1 with that war chest. WTF?

To your point, that doesn’t seem suspicious to you at all? Like the other candidate cheated?

This. Trump cheated in 2016 and it worked. He cheated in 2020 but it wasn’t enough. So in 2024, he overplayed his hand and “won” every swing state. Which should be a major red flag to anyone who has half a brain cell.

Anyone who thinks it is unrealistic, I implore you to look at the big picture for a change. Trump literally cannot do anything at all without cheating and breaking rules, so why would this be any different? Look at his connections to voting machines and the way he pandered to the big tech guys. Read between the lines of so many comments he and Musk made. Look at all the data and polls that turned out to be massively “wrong” - even the ones that have always been reliable. Listen to people who are saying their vote was changed or not counted. Look at her crowd sizes compared to his. I could go on and on. My word. If you can open your mind long enough to step back and look at the WHOLE THING, there is absolutely no way you won’t see it. The election was stolen. He is barely even trying to hide that fact and is borderline bragging about it.

Found the election denier ^^

Right? I thought rigged elections was a Q-anon conspiracy theory? Suddenly a complete moron like Trump is able to rig 2016 and 2024 POTUS elections. Wow.

Am I the only Democrat bothered by Kamala’s nasal voice.

JFC, case in point. WHO CARES what race the candidates are? Or gender?

We all know those threads that suggest and dissect possible candidates. "Too gay! Not black enough! Need a woman! But not too pretty!" It's just beyond moronic.

It’s not idiotic. Its strategy. Republicans only have to appeal to a narrow group of people who have a lot in common (but mostly race). The democrats have a bigger tent and more of every kind of diversity in their party. They have to appeal to a wide variety of people with different cultures and races.

Mark Halperin is a sex pest who works for NewsMax. Like hell he has any sources in the Biden camp.

What appeals to the normal masses of people are candidates with presidential leadership skills. Only idiots put race or gender above presidential talent. You may be an idiot but most Dems aren't.
