Kamala Harris - new post

Kamala just posted this message. She is not running for governor of California. She did not rule out a presidential run. Reading between the lines, it does not sound to me like she will run. But most people in comments seem to think otherwise.

Unpopular opinion here, but I thought she was a great candidate, considering the circumstances. Trump already told us he cheated, but even if he didn’t, she only lost by 1.5 percentage points. After a whirlwind 100 day campaign and people pissed off from the get-go that she wasn’t primaried and refused to vote for her for that reason - which is no fault of her own. Sitting VPs historically do not have successful presidential campaigns.

Anyway, I would like to see what she is capable of as a candidate with a full campaign. She is, perhaps, the most qualified person in history to run for president.

As much as she would have been wonderful after Biden, it's time to lift someone else for '28. She can help them or not as HRC. But her time is up. And please go* no to Vance.

Stop bringing up her JD as if it means she is intelligent or hardworking. Anyone can get into law school. It is the degree for directionless underachievers.

For those saying she's not a great candidate, why? Did you also say Hilary was not great?
They're both extremely qualified.
Are you misogynistic or racist or both?

She is, but some people can’t be led by a black woman because it hurts their feelings. We saw the snowflakes melting when Obama was president, and he’s a man! However, she should run if she wants and if she isn’t pulling it off then the other candidates will be better for having run against her.

Oh puleeze stop using the race card to excuse Biden’s bad choices.

It’s all democrats do. They call names when they screw up. They will do everything to avoid responsibility.

And all this does is give people “the ick”

She was vastly more qualified and much more intelligent than the pedo in chief.

Just admit that you are biased. You elected an enabler of white nationalism.

Sure. Juris doctor, prosecutor, attorney general, US Senator, Vice President. So far. What a slacker. Especially compared to Trump and his silver spoon and bachelor’s degree.

Juris doctor, prosecutor, attorney general, US Senator - these are all lawyerly things. They legislate.

Can you get someone who RUNS things?

I don’t think she should run again but attorneys general do not legislate and absolutely “run things.” The California DOJ has way more employees than any company Trump ever ran into the ground.

If Americans wanted a thinker they wouldn’t have elected trump or Biden

Being able to graduate law school and pass the California bar is absolutely a sign of intelligence.

I believe that Hillary was theclvmost qualified person to run for president but we have learned is that no woman , irrespective of race, can be elected president in the US.
Hillary is just too unlikable. She was in the public eye for too long, and the negatives have compounded over time.

DP. She was unlikable, but no question she was the most qualified person to ever run for president.

This. I just want qualified. And she was.

I used to think this, but now I’m not so sure. I think it’s too soon to throw in the towel. People just don’t trust the Clintons. Especially coming off the Obama years- he was so genuine and trustworthy, and she was in his shadow. I disagree with people saying she is unlikable though. She comes across as warm, funny, and intelligent. Likable…but pretty sketchy.

Kamala had the cards stacked against her the moment she entered the race. And had a fraction of the time other candidates have had. Plus, Trump cheated.

So I don’t think we have had the right female candidate at the right time.
. This times 1000! The right women candidate needs to come along and be elected not because of gender, but because of sane common sense policies!

Hilary was very common sense.

Hello, Hillary too! And she still lost. America hates women.

This!!! STFU about Pete you idiots. And it’s not because he’s gay. It’s because these are all establishment Dems. As Robert Reich put it, why do we need these corporate big money Dems when we already have Republicans?

Kamala outshines everyone else in the Democratic Party to such a degree that it's difficult to imagine anyone else running in 2028. Her accomplishments are unmatched. The 2024 cycle was a fluke for obvious reasons. The smart money knows that Kamala has what it takes to go down in history as one of the greatest U.S. Presidents in history, if not the greatest.

The woman who can't give a basic interview without devolving into cackling as she reuses various word salads is not qualified. Hate to break it to her supporters, but she didn't earn her various accolades--she was awarded them due to affirmative action (now DEI).

By all means, I hope the Dems nominate her and give her a full campaign to show her stuff to prove me wrong.
