Do they also have a removal order? Otherwise, why are you scared? |
Haven’t you seen the clips of one DHS guy saying to the other about a teenager “that’s not the one we’re looking for” and the other says “take him anyway”? If you think your legal status in this country is protecting you you haven’t been paying attention |
DHS guy is not the law in this country. No, I am not scared just because one DHS guy said something on video. |
We have seen that this Administration does not have the willingness nor the capacity to apologize and remedy it when a person is inadvertently caught up in their actions. The Haitians community eating pets in Ohio, people shipped off to El Salvador without due process.
What evidence do you have that this Administration is committed to doing comprehensive research before taking actions? |
How much more evidence do you need that the current administration does not care about "the law in this country?" The only laws they are following are what they make up on the spot. |
No I haven't seen it. Perhaps the other one was also here illegally? 'Sanctuaries' will not hold criminals for ICE and instead lets them go. ICE then goes in to the community to pick them up, and any other illegals found will also be deported. |
I would expect the President to protect US citizens.
However, if a judge is ordering diplomacy, the President is right to reject it, even if it is a US citizen wrongly deported. |
Garcia at least had two hearings in immigration court and one hearing/pleading on appeal. If I given that opportunity to go to court twice and then appeal, I think I am safe and will be fully satisfied with the due process. Also, Garcia had several hearings in the state court before judge granted a protective order to his wife, so it looks like the judge followed the law in this country and protected his wife. As long as I am given same level of protection by law, I am fine. |
Another instance of a US born citizen receiving an order to leave the country immediately:
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/doctor-email-immigration-leave-country-rcna201698 She's now had to hire an immigration attorney to help her sort this out. I know DCUM is the land of $350k/yr HHI poors, but as an actual poor ($55k/yr), I don't have extra money laying around to hire a lawyer if something like this were to happen to me. Eventually the DHS thugs are going to be dispatched to ensure that everyone who received one of these letters is actually out of the US. Do you think they'll really believe you when you tell them it was a mistake and you're a US citizen? I'm sure they've never heard that one before. |
Once they make it clear that they can ignore the law and do it to anyone, they will know that they can do it to everyone. |
Why are random citizens getting these emails to begin with? It seems like some sort of typo or someone stole her email and used it for something. |
I'm not going to read this entire thread. I want the cliffs notes. Are rich white suburbanites actually experiencing sincere anxiety that they will be deported? |
As a rich person, let me coach you on the opportunity here. This could change your life. Do you understand how much money you could make in litigation and appearance/speaking fees if ICE showed up to deport you? You'd have so much cash you wouldn't know what to do with it. |
Someone used her email address because, surprise! people here illegally do stuff like that. The email does not mention her by name. If you get paranoid that people are coming to take you away because you received a random email, you have bigger issues. It's like getting worried when you got a "pay this toll" text and havent driven through a toll. It's not hard to realize it is not for you |
Good luck getting the courts to compel the US government to pay you. This administration is ignoring the Supreme Court so they definitely won’t pay you. |
