Why not just shift the Wootton kids to Crown? That way they can remediate and rebuild Wootton.

you heard wrong, nobody is closing the arts program...and what does the principal have to do with budget cuts due to changes in enrollment?...did you also hear that Churchill also had cuts to the arts teachers? I guess MCPS has it out for them as well.

Then why are they getting rid of 2 music positions and 1 drama position?

Apparently due to changes in enrollment and course selection numbers:

And the reason why there are three newbie CS teachers who don't know squat and the rumor is the second "good" CS teacher will be transferred soon is??

Sorry but you'll have to do better than that.

What exactly do you think it is? I am not sure what you are insinuating but the way involuntary transfer work is this....numbers go down, teachers with least class enrollment (special arts teachers for instance) get involuntarily moved to a school that needs them, once that is done and they still need to cut back numbers they do it based on time at the school. So maybe it could be a bit of both for the CS teachers? I know at least two of them have been there less than two years so likely

If my kid will already be in high school (Einstein - home school) when Woodward is scheduled to open, and given the DCC has some choice process, might he be required to change schools?

Typically rising juniors and seniors are allowed to stay at their previous school. Or those already enrolled in special programs not offered at the new school.

Boring meeting.
Taylor presents to Board early next year??? That's a faster timeline than Purple Line construction.

I think it's safe to say there will be zero nuggets of information in this 2 hour meeting.

FLO Analytics: Let’s make DEI the guiding principle in the boundary study and jeopardize any federal funding. Insane

It’s actually impressive how little information has been shared in this meeting.
