My husband has wealthy white Southern parents. I was well aware before MAGA that these Republicans have been going MAGA for awhile. The “Heritage not Hate” justification 30 years ago for keeping the Confederate flag up on top of the South Carolina state house? The same Confederate flag that was put up in the 1960s to object to the Civil Rights Bill?
If you talked to any Republican back then they kept claiming “it’s history!” knowing darn well they were giving a middle finger to African Americans….

Yes, because white people have no problems blaming the bogeyman for all of the country's problems but won't empty their own closets of hoods, capes, and low hanging branches, both literal and figurative. I've yet to meet a white person, who isn't being paid to speak about it, talk about how it's shameful that their southern ancestors (i.e, blood ancestors) grabbed a few people and strung them up. I mean google images "public lynchings" and the pictures with 1000s of people participating are horrifying. These people and their offspring are walking amongst us now. They must number in the tens (or hundreds) of thousands.

2. Do you hold every child responsible for the sins of their parents? For example, do you despise Latinos for their history of human sacrifice and slavery? Japanese for their brutality against native populations in WWII? Palestinians for their collaboration with Hitler?

Or is this a special standard that you only apply to “white people”?

None of these other groups are in the US trying to pretend their history doesn’t exist and trying to hide it.

The AA students associations are in fact open to everyone. There were always a few non Asians in the membership. There is no "Asians only" requirement.

We lived in Cambridge MA for a few years. Our child was in kindergarten and they had a science club for girls free of charge. The application said girls of color would be given priority. I don’t know if they still do that it was awhile ago. I do know that most suburbs in the areas are not doing away with their DEI offices.

Give me one example of schools using race as a factor when hiring someone or extending a scholarship to someone. Crickets.... schools are one place where racism isn't a factor. School age children haven't yet learned how to be racist at an early age. Perhaps us adults could learn something from our young children.

The U.S. legacy of racism didn't end when the Civil War ended in 1865. 100 years of segregation and racism followed. Racism didn't end when the Civil Rights Act was in enacted in 1964. No one is holding children responsible for sins of the parents. They are educating kids on a complete history that looks at situations from all sides. Just because kids have feelings about things doesn’t make something wrong.

Here's the problem - white people are the numerical majority in this country by a long shot. Black people are 13% of the population. Hispanic about 20%. Asian 6%. White is over 60%.

My kids school wouldn't allow formation of Girls Who Code, unless they set up a club for boys to join as well.

The Civil Rights Act banned racial discrimination. Saying racism didn't end, which it didn't, doesn't mean you can discriminate.
