Give me one example of schools using race as a factor when hiring someone or extending a scholarship to someone. Crickets.... schools are one place where racism isn't a factor. School age children haven't yet learned how to be racist at an early age. Perhaps us adults could learn something from our young children.

Montgomery county uses 4 criteria when analyzing school zone boundaries. The primary one is diversity.

Bologna!

“ Our Board Policy, FAA, Educational Facilities Planning, identifies four main factors for consideration when establishing and making changes to school boundaries. These include:

Demographic characteristics of student population
Geography
Stability of school assignments over time
Facility utilization”

Drawing up school boundaries doesn't include or exclude certain children from going to public school based on race. It simply determines WHERE they go to school. No child is being denied public school due to the color of their skin and no one is getting hired or fired because of their skin color and those things are relevant to this topic.

What about those tens of thousands of six-figure DEI management and school admin jobs that literally popped up overnight during covid? They seemed to be pretty much AA exclusive positions. And since many of these jobs never existed before, what was the relevant work experience needed to qualify for the position?

Education experience, leading a team, administration and project management. DUh. And I think you are making stuff up about these jobs being given mostly to black people, but even so, maybe it's because they have more experience fighting for inclusion and representation than say, I don't know, YOU?

You're kidding, right? These jobs literally have some combination of D, E, and I in the job title and they were/are almost exclusively occupied by AA, with a handful of Hispanics, and pretty much no Asians. Literally go to any corporation's website or school district, if not individual school. If you don't believe me, type in Google, "VP of Inclusion" or "Chief Diversity Officer" + "[fill in the blank corporation or school]" and see for yourself.

Lol... there are no jobs that were created out of thin air titled "VP of Inclusion" or "Chief Diversity Officer". Turn off your fake news channel and stop spreading lies.

Are people really this stupid or ignorant? These jobs demanded no real qualifications and were singularly focused but had no direction. Only six-figure salaries for token AA executive positions.

"In 2020, amidst the Black Lives Matter movement, many corporate leaders announced new commitments to diversity. Some called this time 'the diversity tipping point' and CDO roles became one of the hottest jobs in the marketplace."

https://www.mckinsey.com/capabilities/people-and-organizational-performance/our-insights/unlocking-the-potential-of-chief-diversity-officers

"The rate of new CDO hires in 2021 was nearly triple the rate of hires in the previous 16 months. In fact, among Fortune 500 companies, 53 percent now have a CDO or equivalent role and more than 60 have since May 2020 appointed their first-ever diversity leader."

https://www.dailywire.com/news/corporate-america-shows-signs-of-buyers-remorse-after-blowing-millions-on-diversity-officers

"A new report from The Wall Street Journal reveals that in 2018, “less than half the companies in the S&P 500 employed someone” in the CDO role, but by 2022 — in the wake of the BLM movement — nearly 75% of S&P 500 companies had that role. Since then, companies have experienced a 40% turnover, and job seekers are reportedly “skittish” about taking on a role that focuses squarely on diversity."

Nothing wrong with a business entity seeking to maintain a diverse workforce as long as they aren't hiring less qualified applicants over more qualified applicants based on race or gender.

The majority of less-qualified hires are White. That has always been true.

Don’t need a link. Ask any woman who has had to carry a department while her idiot white male peers cozy up to the VPs and get bonuses and promotions for slapping their name on her work.

Have you met MAGAs?

Unfortunately, yes.
My husband has wealthy white Southern parents. I was well aware before MAGA that these Republicans have been going MAGA for awhile. The “Heritage not Hate” justification 30 years ago for keeping the Confederate flag up on top of the South Carolina state house? The same Confederate flag that was put up in the 1960s to object to the Civil Rights Bill?
If you talked to any Republican back then they kept claiming “it’s history!” knowing darn well they were giving a middle finger to African Americans….
This white MAGA/far right Republicans/ radical Christian group will tell you one thing to save face, and laugh behind your back and do another. They have been this way for hundreds of years.

It feels like a pattern that will never be broken in America.

Yes, because white people have no problems blaming the bogeyman for all of the country's problems but won't empty their own closets of hoods, capes, and low hanging branches, both literal and figurative. I've yet to meet a white person, who isn't being paid to speak about it, talk about how it's shameful that their southern ancestors (i.e, blood ancestors) grabbed a few people and strung them up. I mean google images "public lynchings" and the pictures with 1000s of people participating are horrifying. These people and their offspring are walking amongst us now. They must number in the tens (or hundreds) of thousands.

fair point, the stereotype of the back slapping boys network that take care of each other is not fake. it definitely happens. but the stereotype of the underqualified and lazy Black person hired under affirmative action is not fake either. and even more prevalent is the underperforming Black or other minority who allowed to stay, when a White male would have been fired, for fear of a Title VII lawsuit. we have all seen them. the problem with race based programs is that they perpetuate these half true but unfair and unproductive stereotypes.

1. Almost none of “these people” walk among us today. The vast majority are dead.

2. Do you hold every child responsible for the sins of their parents? For example, do you despise Latinos for their history of human sacrifice and slavery? Japanese for their brutality against native populations in WWII? Palestinians for their collaboration with Hitler?

Or is this a special standard that you only apply to “white people”?

did it occur to you that many White people sacrificed their lives fighting for the United States army in the Civil War so that your ancestors could be free? their offspring are walking among you too. has it ever occurred to you honor those White people, to thank them, or (gasp) pay them reparations for their ancestors' sacrifice?

So, anyone not in the white Christian group, ok.
This is more about grants than schools but my jaw dropped when I read yesterday about an Israeli grant cancelled bec (I assume some AI program) determined it was DEI. You know why? It mentioned the word ‘gender’ to describe how Hebrew language has feminine and masculine like many other languages. Can we do anything here or just watch as civil rights become a dirty word?

RIF

1. even a kindergartner can understand what "and their offspring" means

2. why Palestinians and Hitler as if Palestinians in the 1940s (which modern country did they lead?) even make the top 100 groups on the modern list of world atrocities? Unless, of course, you're that kind of selective SJW. This is America, stop talking about the Nazis as if Americans produced them. We saved the Jews and Europe. Take that finger pointing sht to Europe. Same with your examples of ancient Mesoamerican and South American civilizations, and Japanese in Japan. White Christian people in America have ethnically cleansed every other racial/ethnic/religious group in America at some time in history. The example of public lynchings is especially relevant because they and their children are still living and participated or witnessed it, yet no one talks about it in the first person. No "I was there" selfies yet they looked right into the camera when other people were taking their picture with a lynched body hanging behind them. Savages.

When you can give examples of non-white groups of people in America organizing and killing whites (or another minority) on a systematic and celebratory basis with no repercussions, we can expand the "special standard" you whine about.

Uhh, keep up, kid. That's 100 years before the 1950s and 60s. And white people didn't fight to free slaves but to preserve the Union. Way to whitewash history and forget Jim Crow ever existed. Integration in the military didn't even happen until the 1950s. And there are literal cemeteries, statues, songs, and anthems commemorating white soldiers, that almost all Americans don't hesitate to celebrate. Plus reparations to white people add up to the trillions of dollars in generational wealth over time, off the backs (and lives) of minorities. If white people really wanted to free the slaves, they'd have sent all the confederate sympathizers to Guantanamo and freely given up those 40 acres plus one mule. /s

Why should I feel shame about actions that neither I nor my ancestors perpetrated. My family came here and was dirt poor, but all of their children applied themselves and moved up in society. Plenty of immigrants come here, work hard, and are successful. If this country was so institutionally racist, Asians wouldn’t be the most successful racial group. Nobody deserves an advantage because of their skin color, or whatever historic grievances they are carrying as a crutch for why they aren’t successful.

First of all, by what metric are Asians the most successful? Judges and lawyers; politicians, local, state, or national; professors, teachers, and college/hs/ms/elementary admin; police and fire chiefs; Hollywood production companies, producers, directors, actors, and agents; Music labels, producers, artists, and agents; sports team owners, coaches, athletes, and agents; etc. The list is endless. Which area exactly do Asians in America dominate or even have proportional representation in? Don't say tech companies unless you're willing to acknowledge that they're only the cheaper employees that don't complain as much.

I see opposite these days and I am a minority.

Where. I never see unqualified minority women be in charge while other people carry her department.
