Why aren't people protesting?

Anonymous
I’m working to get democrats to run in uncontested races throughout the country, I volunteer to help young people run for office, and I’m volunteering for a few special elections. Protesting does nothing for me now. It did in years ago as a way of connecting with other like-minded people and finding a group to volunteer with, but now that I have that group, I don’t feel the need to be public. I just keep my head down and do the work.

Protesting does nothing.
I’m not protesting. I’m hoping conservatives get what they voted for and feel the maximum pain of it all.

I’m off the meta social media. I even canceled Prime (which was my fave).

I’m researching university programs in Canada.

Let them get what they voted for. #fafo.

No need to throw ourselves in front of the train wreck of GOP leadership for the next couple of years.

Time for people to get what they voted for.

It's so sad, but I think a lot of us hardworking Democrats are resigned to let the GOP have its way and ruin the economy, again, but this time, the Democrats are not going to pick up the pieces. Let 'em rot.

This is where I am as well.

What is protesting going to do? change Speaker Johnson's mind? Leader Thune's mind? Elon's mind?

The 1000 dollars extra is nice but the 10 trillion in additional deficits caused by not taxing the 1% is not sound

We will shop for food at the farmer's market and stores whose policies align with our values.

Time to to also spend less time in front of screens anyway, and more time in nature. Our money will be mostly directed towards international travel.

Clearly, the only thing that really matter is money and I intend to use it accordingly.

Lots of farmers voted for Trump. Are you going to ask them before you buy their kale? What is your litmus test for small business owners? What small companies that align with your values offer international travel?

I have my farmers that I know. I also grow my own produce.

I didn't say I will spend travel money on small companies. I said I will be spending them abroad. That means international airlines if the domestic ones are kissing orange ass too. Not that hard.

For small businesses, maga is quite easy to spot because they can't stfu up. It took me two minutes to figure out where the car repair place I was going to stands because they had some fliers.

I also check the public donation record for the 2024 election.

Big talk right there. Better also find out what websites use AWS too. Going to a rough time for you!!!

Unlike you, maga minions, I know what I can do and not do and where it will have the biggest impact.

LOLZ, it will not be a rought time for me. I have cash and hoarding even more now. But I will sit back and enjoying what's coming for you rubes.

I live in a blue state and the amount of “I don’t like Trump but…” comments I have heard are insane.

I know maybe three who think that and they are in the billionaire category. Everyone else - not secretly happy.

I’m in California and I’ve heard it multiple times. I do not think you understand the white-hot rage people feel towards the Democrats right now, right after the fires.

There are no protests here in California for a reason.

How are Democrats responsible for the fires?

Tree and brush management as just one example.

What planet are you on? MAGA wants no government regulations and red tape. This is what republicans mean by no regulations and rules. You think regulations about tree and brush management are government over reach. Houston’s flooding is an example no regulations and rules. Your dream world.

Republicans aren’t libertarians and we believe in effective local government. It’s the California government that is responsible for wildfire management including removal of underbrush and clearing trees, filling reservoirs and properly funding the fire department. No, we don’t believe in “no regulations and rules.”

You believe in bootstraps. Well, now that they're doing away with FEMA, enjoy what the local government of Mississipi and Alabama have to offer.

The 1963 March on Washington was the last meaningful protest. Walking around with a few people shouting your opinions on whatever is stupid.

I’m the poster and not a bot. Maybe there are actually two humans out there that think the same way.
Who are up at midnight worried that this country needs to learn a very expensive and painful lesson so they don’t vote for this jerks again.
