This. There was a PP who doesn't believe this. But this is 100% truth.

Here's the thing. Trump won. And he won the popular vote too - it doesn't matter how close it was. I recall DCUM posters all complaining about how it wasn't a landslide win and how the margin was so close...but that doesn't matter...a win is a win.

Then you have all those who didn't vote or voted third party who were bashed by Dems on DCUM as basically giving their vote to Trump. Because of this they are by default okay with Trump.

Then as noted above you have those who voted for Harris (like me) who did so solely because I can't stand Trump the person....I still support Republican/GOP leaning policies on illegal immigration, DEI and cultural war issues.

Do I agree with all of Trumps's EOs...no...but I'll never agree on all of the EOs/policies of any president (I'm a lonely moderate).

What I don't support is the extremist and aggressive way in which the EOs are rolling out. But fundamentally...if perhaps done in a less aggressive manner...I am fine with some of the EOs even though I voted for Harris.

Math is hard. Trump did not win the majority of the votes and 6 million democrats stayed at home(mostly be of Biden’s Israel policy). Maybe you do not know any true magas. The ones I know are not talking much right now and seem very worried. They are not happy with Trump.

Yeah sure...lol. Every person I know who voted trump is thrilled with what he's doing. Why wouldn't they be? He's doing exactly what he said he would do. And he did win the majority of the vote. If someone stayed home and didn't vote, then they did not vote. They don't count in the total. That's not how it works!

I know of a few Trump supporters that are worried about losing their federal jobs/contracts.

I know of some who are frustrated that the cost of groceries has gone up even more since he took office.

This is why we aren't protesting. The only way Trump cultists (and non voters) will face reality is when they suffer.

My protest is suffering and not stopping this so they have to suffer too. Buckle up.

Please don’t just read headlines and listen to sound bites. It’s been widely reported in NC and prior natural disasters by those needing FEMA assistance that there is so much red tape they aren’t getting it in a timely manner. Trump is proposing to give a percentage the money directly to state governors to basically cut FEMA out of the middle and hopefully get money into the hands of the victims who need it more quickly. It may or may not be a work well but what’s happening now isn’t working for people who desperately need help.

Well you can’t avoid waste, fraud and abuse without red tape. So either MAGA wants the Feds to use taxpayer money properly or it doesn’t. Can’t have it both ways.

Why would MAGA want NC to receive any money at all, regardless of who administers it? Why are these people deserving and other federal beneficiaries not?

The MAGA crowd is easily led by memes and BS Bro nonsense on X. NC and the $700 (initial) FEMA funding became a memeified way of saying what they always say: "Biden sucks. Trump would do better." So by helping NC, Trump is simply giving his base what they think would be "based". Doesn't matter if he immediately shutters FEMA after. "Promises made. Promises kept."

They have limited attention spans, and will be immediately suck(er)ed into the next memeable outrage from the X outrage machine.

Genuine question: Do they buy groceries? Or they pick up a thing or two at a gas station? If the price of that thing or two is skyrocketing, then maybe just maybe they may feel the effects.

Trump cultists also grow the food you eat, drive the trucks that bring it to your store, drill and refine the gas that you put in your car, operate the power plants and maintain the power grid that keeps your lights on, and crew the fire trucks or make up the police department that comes to your rescue.

My wife who gave me hell for 4 years during Trump's 1st term actually voted for Trump this time. Her issues were the risk of a global war, the woke BS, and she was really upset by the males in female sports. Then came Kamala, and she just threw up her hands in frustration and couldn't believe that was the best the Democrats and Republicans could offer. She held her nose and voted to get off the Biden/Harris trajectory.

you can't "fix" getting ready for wildfires unless you are prepared to retrofit every structure in the danger areas.

how do you "fix" getting ready for hurricanes? should we keep rebuilding in the coastal areas that get wiped out ever 10 years too?

Why did Barack and Michelle build their compound on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean?

Because they wanted to. What's your point? NP

Democrats elites care nothing about the climate.

Not really. Most of the food grown in the midwest is agribusiness exports like soy. Or it is corn/wheat that go to processing hugh fructose corn syrup or into the cookies and crackers that are mass produced and sold at convenience stores. The actual produce most of us eat comes from local farms or else Mexico and California.
