Why aren't people protesting?

I get that we're all tired of fighting, and feel so disappointed that so many people voted for him, but where are the rallies and outspoken voices. There are things that he is trying to do that shouldn't be controversial on both sides - like ending lowering drug prices. I think it's time to start speaking up and protesting again! Just silently rolling our eyes isn't helping.

for me personally, I will benefit from the GOP tax policy and for the rest of it, I can only hope enough Americans are so negatively impacted that things turn for the 2026 elections.

What is protesting going to do? change Speaker Johnson's mind? Leader Thune's mind? Elon's mind?

Because a lot of people who voted for Harris are secretly happy to see Trump in charge.

I think the momentum will come when people who voted for him start to realize they were conned. Sure, some of his voters wanted this, but I think most were just ignorant and gullible. That’s why he’s tying to control social media and the Post - to keep people in their disinformation bubbles.

No, you are wrong. I am not secretly happy he won. He has changed American for the worst. We used to support each other when one state had a natural disaster. Now he makes fun of them and there is a quid pro quo if you want aid.

Protest a free and fair election? Protest the peaceful transfer of power? Protest the elected president implementing his policies? Protesting a president who isn’t a democrat? Protesting legal actions?

What are we supposed to be protesting?

We're in self preservation mode. It's gonna be bad and we can hold all those who voted for him responsible. Maybe if they crash and burn they won't let this happen again but then again, they seem fine with a literal Nazi as one of his top advisors, so... I imagine they'll all boil alive as the temp keeps rising around them.

How will protesting be any more effective than rolling your eyes? It’s not like it will put pressure on the administration or draw attention to something that would otherwise go unnoticed.
