| Do we think tomorrow will delay to due to the same weather? |
Yes. It would make literally zero sense to delay today and not tomorrow when it will actually be even colder. |
I’m sorry, why do you have to entertain them? |
Also, many FCPS teachers live in Loudoun. |
No. This was a one time thing. |
+1, this is part of the problem with kids being able to maintain focus. They need to think of ways to entertain themselves that doesn't involve screens. They can do it, I promise. |
Why do you think that? Its a thing based on weather, so presumably would be the same for the same weather? |
Well these decisions arent made based on your children's entertainment needs. |
+1. Are your kids in Kindergarten? My 4th grader slept a little later, made an elaborate breakfast, played with some toys, cleaned up the toys, and called his grandma to chat before we left the house. The only interruption to me was needing to reschedule a call that occurred at the time I wanted to walk him to school. |
| Oh yes definitely doing a grandma FaceTime tomorrow morning if we are delayed again. |
Stop with the logic. These decisions are not logical. They looked bad today delaying 2 hours and will not do it again tomorrow. |
Yup. I don’t think there were many bus issues. |
But is it for the weather? No explanation was really provided. The bus issues have proven to be fake news. Don't think the hospitals are overrun with children who got frostbite in APS and ACPS from venturing out a whole 2 hours earlier. |

OK mom whose kid spent their extra time in the morning cooking breakfast, picking up toys and FaceTiming grandma - you win!
You have a superior kid and your morning sounds organized and perfect. My kid needs his arm twisted to do just one of the activities you mention. There is zero chance he would ever do all three before going out the door to school. |
They… really don’t. That decision was in line with every other large district in this area. |
