Close or delay for cold?

I predict on time. Everybody always complains about school being closed or facilities being closed on the weekend, so they will open on time.

No. I have high schoolers. Doesn’t matter to me if they open. But they are always closed an extra day beyond what I predict. Since I would open them, I assume they will stay closed. Doesn’t bother me either way. I’ll go to work. Kids will stay home. Not invested either than the entertainment value of predicting.

My neighborhood streets are perfect and the sidewalks too. Whoever was supposed to plow the school parking lot didn’t. Ridiculous. Who is running that contract?? I bet schools won’t open because the lots are pure ice now. It’s hard to plow ice when they could have easily plowed the snow yesterday.

The custodians are responsible for plowing their own schools. If the plows break, they literally shovel by hand. Since today was a planned holiday, they probably asked the custodians to come back in to clear parking lots, but if they already had plans/didn’t want to I’m not sure what happens.

According to our Plant Operations Manager, there will be an announcement at 5pm.

Talked to a friend who is a bus supervisor. They said that bus drivers must report 1 hour early this week to get the busses running.

Might there be areas that are icy? There's not much snow but my driveway is ice (my own fault). My street was melting but now has a lot of ice on it.
