I thought it went through 10am tomorrow. It did originally at least. |

At a principals meeting today, I heard that Reid shared that the biggest concern has been around middle schoolers and black ice. The sunshine on Wednesday has helped get rid of a lot of it. It’s not all gone, but enough is gone.
We just need to get back to a regular schedule. It was the right call. |
Not at 10 degrees we don’t. If it’s not safe, it’s not safe. |
| It is 6 degrees currently at the middle school bus stop |
People go to schools in temperatures like this all the time. Bundle your kids up and stop whining |
I'm sure you were typing this from your warm car. Hopefully you made sure your kid has a warm jacket. |
| If you want another snow day move to Berkeley County WV, they haven't had school all week. |
| Advisory was gone. The "published" temp at 7am(I know not 6:15 when kids head to busses) was 10 degrees. NO WINDCHILL. Also less to no black ice areas after yesterday. The school districts probably have a certain criteria they check off as well as advice from weather experts and other official professionals. This on time. But it has been communicated in the past. If you fell your child in danger due to the weather(or anything else) you should and can keep them home. |
Need to adapt, the next ice age is coming. |
| Any word on kids going down to hypothermia this a.m. on those walks to school? |
No but plenty of cheers from the working parents. |
Really what about the schools under renovation...it was so cold and many kids at my kids school did not have coats today and were walking between the buildings early this morning. Enough is enough from entitled people. |

Oh please. There are plenty of coats/jackets available. Family liaisons can help kids whose families cannot afford them. I work at a Title 1 school and the closet is overflowing with brand new coats. Kids can wear their coats as they walk between buildings. This isn't that difficult. What did they do yesterday when it was 16 degrees at noon? |
