Sorry, this is not our problem.

I agree with all the comments saying it's time for Israeli supporters to step up to the plate. You want to push the U.S. into yet another conflict in the ME? Why don't you start with your own children. Let's see you send your sons and daughters to fight in a new war.

No excuses necessary. We see you.

Our ground troops, marines, and US cruise ships are already there on the Mediterranean and Red Sea protecting Israel.

Unlike most of the world, They didn’t send one troop to us post 9/11 even for the Iraq war that they /Netanyahu wanted.

Why do we protect them militarily when they don’t do anything to back us up militarily ?

In that situation probably they were asked not to get involved for good reason.

Throughout the war US president George H. W. Bush did his utmost to keep Israel from responding. US deputy secretary of state Larry Eagleburger and undersecretary of defense Paul Wolfowitz arrived in Israel four days before the aerial bombing of Iraq began, on a mission to convince us not to launch a preemptive attack and to stay out of the war. They assured us that the US armed forces would within days eliminate the danger of Scud attacks against Israel, while Israeli participation might well lead to a break-up of the coalition and ensuing difficulties. Should the US not be successful in eliminating the Scud threat to Israel, they said, the US would acquiesce to an Israeli response.

As it turned out, all American attempts to hit the Scud launchers failed, and throughout the war Scuds kept falling on Israel. Raytheon Patriot anti-aircraft missiles sent to Israel by the US, despite a number of attempts, failed to intercept a single Scud. Nevertheless, Bush in almost daily calls to prime minister Yitzhak Shamir urged him to keep Israel out of the war despite Iraqi “provocations.”

So not an ally but a problem? Surely Israel could have kicked in 100k ground troops, let the US base forces out of Israel or at least helped in a minor way?

The question is why should the US protect Israel when Israel is clearly the aggressor? What Israel did was an act of war. We have no obligation to fight for Israel specially when Israel is the one attacking another country. This is a bridge too far.

October 7th was carried out by Hamas - which is the recognized government of Gaza. Thus, Gaza invaded Israel on October 7th and Israel has responded in kind. The current protests against Israel seem to be focusing only on Israel's response and fail to explain why Hamas invaded Israel on October 7th and took hostages back to Gaza.

This is about Iran. Israel attacked their Consulate in Syria last week. Iran has now responded. Bibi started this crap.

Nope. Iran used its proxies to attack Israel. Those proxies have found out the hard way that doing so was a bad idea. Iran is beginning to find out the same thing - which is why it is now trying to avoid such a fate through a statement posted to the UN:

"... Iran’s military action was in response to the Zionist regime’s aggression against our diplomatic premises in Damascus. The matter can be deemed concluded. However, should the Israeli regime make another mistake, Iran’s response will be considerably more severe. It is a conflict between Iran and the rogue Israeli regime, from which the U.S. MUST STAY AWAY."

Don't want none? Don't start none....

Yes Israel should not have attacked Iran.

Tell that to Iran. They started this mess. Israel has shown great restraint. Now that Iran has escalated, so too shall the conflict. Iran is scared to death that the U.S. will enter the conflict.

Israel has been goading Iran since 10/7, entire world know this, what are you smoking? Nobody is scared to death of anyone, Iran has the full backing of Russia and China. So, let’s not pour gasoline on fire, I hope this stupid administration can find and rub two brain cells and hopefully find a way to de escalate the situation.

"Iran has the full backing of Russia and China."

Not really.

Looks like the Israelis shot down 25 missiles but many think that is an exaggeration. The US used RIM-161 Standard Missile 3 from ships at a cost of 11 million a pop. Same as those supplied to Korea and Japan.

The US basic
ally provides the real strength in Israel’s defenses and for some reason we have no influence on their actions? Biden does not seem to understand how much influence and power he has over Israel or he must have agree with Israel’s tactics on mass punishment.

The Ukrainian must be pissed. Seeing the US capabilities and Biden doing nothing to help them against the Russians. Looks like Biden could have easily supplied systems to destroyed Russian forces, stop drone/missile attacks and saved the Ukraine a lot of heartache.

Really makes you question what he was thinking. Give Israel everything and the Ukrainians are still waiting for F16s.

Hamas “invaded” Israel because they are sick and tired of living under decades of a brutal Israeli occupation.

So they targeted 1000+ civilians for rape and murder.

Ariel Sharon pulled Israel out of Gaza. Gaza responded by electing Hamas as their government. Do you think our relationship with Canada or Mexico would be affected if they elected Al-Qaeda as their government?

At certain point, it just seems like they are just a dufus people, invariably doing the dumbest possible thing at every opportunity. Given the reality that Israel and Gaza are unlikely to ever coexist peacefully, we are effectively forced to choose. We might as well choose the smart, US-friendly people instead of the not-smart people who hate us.

This is of course what is happening, but he can't come out and say it directly. He has to maintain plausible deniability until after the election, and then he can give his full-throated approval.

3 Ways Israel could Respond to Iran according to FP.
1) Attack Iran’s Nuclear Program.
2) Target Iranian Commanders.
3) Strike Iranian Proxies or Launch a cyberattack on Iran.

My preference will be what Biden says to slow things down but my second choice will be cyber attacks.

Your post lost all credibility. Rape that never happened. Does repeating the lie make you feel better about the genocide you are supporting?
